    Thoughts on Streamlight products?

Nobletitus hit on an important point re: the SL Stinger HL which is that the low is not low at all. Off the top of my head, not sure what the low setting is rated at, but it is pretty bright. Something in the 30 lumen range would be way more useful.

    Thoughts on Streamlight products?

I have run the Stinger HL for a few months now. Love it. It pushes out every bit of the 640 lumens it is rated for. Very satisfied. Cannot believe they do not yet have a turbohead version available. I will be buying that if it ever shows up. SL rechargeables make very good beater lights...

I scored a NiMh battery from battery junction not too long ago. Under $20 to my door. Works fine.

    Malkoff Streamlight Stinger Drop-in Review

I just received my Malkoff Streamlight Stinger Drop-in yesterday and thought I would post up my initial impressions. Before we get into that, let me first comment on how I use lights. In my little corner of the world, I have about 80 chickens, a milk cow, and three steers. I suppose it out to...

    Malkoff vs New Surefire lights

Malkoff. Every time I fire it up, I have to grin just a little.

    Flashlight for my grandfather

How about any of the Streamlight Stinger Series? Nice size, side switching, and guilt-free lumens with a caveman simple recharging system? Kinda blows your budget though. Seem like they would be a good fit for the size requirement.

(New Data p2)BeamShots Comparison Malkoff Triple Drop-M60/M60F +more Flashlights

BTTT for a classic thread which evidences much work and time. I suppose there's no chance of getting updated beamshots with the M60 MC-E, huh?

Any Police Dept's using Malkoff drop ins as standard issue?

I converted my entire agency over to M60 drop-ins about a year ago. This is a probation office so our requirements are not typically "tactical", but the lights see heavy daily/nightly use. Nothing but positive feedback thus far. Most who post or lurk here would be appalled at how little a...

    Malkoff M60 and weapon lights

On-topic: Gene has stated that his drop-ins have been torture tested on some full-auto guns (M60's I think) with no problems. Off-topic: Magpul rolled out a new sling at SHOT which appears to be the heat. Go to youtube and search on Magpul 2009 SHOT show.

    New Rayovac Lights

I have the 3 watt light. I use it more than my SFs due to being cheaper to run while putting out plenty of light. Well built, good beater light. I am getting a lot of use from mine. Worth the $$.

    Recieved first Malkoff today....M60L.

Kdog, I can't speak to the M60L, but I'll echo what AWGD8 posted. That is the the M60 continues to impress me after a year of use. It has absolutely spoiled me and I after using it exclusively for a while, I don't appreciate it so much... until I go change to another light and then come back to...

    K2 Lights at Sams?

All, Was in Sam's today kicking around and came across a pack of two LED lights for $28.xx. They were in a large blister pack. Advertised as K2s. They run on three AAA batteries (in a plastic holder). The package claimed 150 lumens and 4 hours runtime (riiiiggghht). The lights had a recessed...

Just bought two Rayovac Sportsman Extremes, a 1W and a 3W and....

Got mine this Sunday just past (3W for $13). Score!!! Easily the highest lumen to dollar ratio of any light I have. This after eyeballing that sucker for a year. Wheee!!

Malkoff M60F good for indoor search use?

MrGman, copy that. The photo-realistic targets were a suggestion so you could avoid having people go downrange. But that might actually be a better solution due to the issues you mention. I understand that any beamshots are gigantic PITA. RE: the getting blinded repeatedly. Where's your sense...

Malkoff M60F good for indoor search use?

I went back and re-read Gman's post and scrutinized the pics again. The M60F appears to me, to be edging out the others - at least at 12 yards. At the risk of pissing off Gman, could I suggest pics from 25 yards and include a SF P60 bulb? The P60 is a widely known quantity and was the first...

Malkoff M60F good for indoor search use?

While the pics don't precisely duplicate the perception of the human eye, they do provide a yardstick for comparison. I think a lot of us, myself including, get enamored with throw which can be impressive and makes us feel like we are really putting out a lot of light, but for many situations, a...

Malkoff M60F good for indoor search use?

The treatise on searching notwithstanding :D, I realize I framed my question improperly by using the term "search." A better way to term this would be how does the M60F do for general LEO utility purposes? The scenario being that you've made contact with the subject(s) in a darkened area, be...

Malkoff M60F good for indoor search use?

All, I've been in and out of CPF over the last several weeks and I come in today to see threads re: the new P7 and Gene's M60F. Geez things move fast. My question is, would the M60F be better suited for searching "normal" residential structures than the M60? Has it been out long enough for...

    Maglights - improvement of

The Malkoff Devices drop-ins are *very* close to plug-n-play. They are probably the *best* reasonably available, reasonably priced drop-ins on the market - in that brightness range. Whether they work with rechargables is something I would like to know as well.
