    Lunens vs. reflector size

    I have two maglites that are both rated at 104 lumens. One is an xl50, the other is a 3 d cell led. the 3 d seems to be almost twice as bright and has more throw even if I widen the beam to match the xl50. Could these both be 104 lumens? Both had fresh batterys BTW. Could it be due to the size...

    Thanks for the reply woodenstick. So if the 200 tactical clicky has the same throw as the rotary, would the 170 tactical have more throw than the 200? Henrys website states that the 170 tactical has 20% more throw than the executive. Is the price difference for the extra 30 lumens really worth...
