    If dimming is a problem, wouldn't it be possible to place a capacitor after the PWM to smooth out the voltage fluctuations and then just have the circuit put out a little more voltage on each pulse so that the average voltage supplied to the bulb would match the rated lamp voltage?     Thanks, that is definatly helpful. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to really hurt the light, I am actually using the tactical switch so the current way will be fine.
