Show us your bike light set-up

Hey I like your lights. Where did you get that HID lamp from? Is this a plastic reflector? Does the P7 with the big aspheric lens throw anywhere near as far as the HID?

Cree XP-G 3000k 90+ CRI vs Nichia 219 4500k 92 CRI: which one do you prefer and why?

Lux-RC Thank you very much for your excellent work - I think these fotos will help a lot of people make their decision. There are lot of nice LEDs to chose from XP-G and Nichia 219 - but the samsung is good too.

Cree XP-G 3000k 90+ CRI vs Nichia 219 4500k 92 CRI: which one do you prefer and why?

A,B,C are regulated for me! If C is what you get with your Nichia 219 triples and a single 18650, then I'm sure I could not see any change in output with my eyes

Cree XP-G 3000k 90+ CRI vs Nichia 219 4500k 92 CRI: which one do you prefer and why?

Now, stop that rain!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing! Can you really run the Nichia 219 334 engines in regulation from a single 18650?

    Switching dynamo circuit

I got mine from kadikater, works really well. I think he still has some left. I'm sure he is prepeared to explain how they work, because I can't. 1 LED from 1 to 7km/h, 2 LEDs 7-15km/h, 4 LEDs (or 3 LEDs) faster than 15 km/h.

Low voltage wiring in a school building

Thank you very much, that makes it clear for me, that there will never be a very low voltage wiring in a big building (with copper wiring). Thank you very much, I learned even more today. It is really worth asking questions here! I didn't know the solar panels would be wired in series...

Low voltage wiring in a school building

Yes I see, it seems to be too difficult to run computers of low voltage DC supply. The school is not built yet. The estimated size of the building: classrooms 2'500m2; corridors, toiletts etc 500m2; gym hall 1400m2, kindergarden 400m2. Flat roof for solar pannels about 2'000m2

Low voltage wiring in a school building

Thank you very much for all your answers It seems that, that you all agree that it would be to much trubel ( = cost) to have a separate wite system. I do not know a lot about electricity, but I thought, that the losses in the wires would be bigger than with a high voltage systems or/and the...

Low voltage wiring in a school building

Hello AnAppleSnail Thank you for your answer. 'Here' is in switzerland. The school will be built according to the strictest laws in the hole world (as far as i know). For example we would never be allowed to use electricity for heating and we also not allowed to use elctronic cooling systems in...

Low voltage wiring in a school building

I don't know if this a stupid idea or if anybody has tried that before? But I'm going to ask anyway: We are going to build a new primary school here and will most probably put solar pannels on the roof (as we did on our old ones). The lightning will be done with LEDs. I think the biggest...

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

Re: Philips Saferide demo + discussion day 19 January: Preliminary information I'm looking forward to your pictures and description. If you write it in German all better for me ... ;) ... and if you want to buy proper Müesli you have to come here next time ... ;)

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

I replaced my Bosch+Müller Lumotec Lyt with the self build. I have the Fly on a other bicycle. A round reflector or TIR-optic can't do what half a cat-eye reflector or a big, fat aspheric lense do! I wanted to buy the Philips Saferide (dynamo version), but then found someone that made that...

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

I copied mfj197 and must say that gives the best beam pattern I have seen from a simple reflector! Just go ahead and try it out! An aspheric lens is quite good as well!

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

I built a street light myself - probably even bigger than the german light. But it has the benefit of yellow sidelight and light going back to the moving knees (well visible from further away). I think there is still too much light going up though ...

Philips Saferide demo discussion day 19 January

Hello swhs I would really like to see 1. a 18650-battery version of the light (with the possibility of replacing the cells). 2. It should use the most powerful LEDs -I presume Philips won't use Cree LEDs? 3. Most important: They should sell the reflector - so we could build a light with all...
