    Machining plastics

Chips not breaking is a big problem with plastics. If you can interupt the cut to make smaller strings that can help. Also clean away the chips often to prevent build up. If you have the room, you can also try a shop vac to pull away the string as it forms.

Also look for low inductance caps. Those are mostly used for photoflash apps. If you can't get low inductance, you can use a bunch of smaller caps. and wire them up in paralell. Digital Calipers & Pitch Guages

No, not more accurate, but more usefull. You can set the origin (0.000) at any point, and then measure diferances. Like if you wanted to make several parts all the same size. You would make one part to the required length, and set the calipers to zero on that part, then measure other...

I just got the duracell 15 minute cahrger at Costco for about $32.00. Comes with a lighter plug, and is a four chanel charger. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has only one LED to show when it is done.

Everything you have said is true. The greatest factor is time. Ti has to be cut at much lower speeds, and as you may have heard, time is money.

    D-Mag o-sink information

So what you are saying is that copper is too good at conducting heat, and the mag body can't get rid of it fast enough? But aluminium is better because it coducts heat less, so that the mag body isn't overwhelmed? I think a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
