    My New FT-3C is here!

I got mine as well, and it is about as perfect as I could have hoped for, in terms of color, and an excellent balance between throw and spill light. Mine has 2 perfect circles of spill light around it; one quite bright, and the next very dim. I can only notice the circles of spill light on a...

    Okay...enough is enough!!!

[ QUOTE ] PJD said: Where the $%#@ are the X1's and Sonics!? First we were told at the end of March. Next we were told late spring. Then we were told the last week of May...well, guess what...IT'S THE LAST WEEK OF MAY!!! So where ARE they!? (there...now I feel better... ) PJD [/ QUOTE ]...

    Minimag sheaths

Mag Instruments sells a sheath with a velcro flap. It's pretty decent; not as heavy as a SureFire sheath, but 1/3 the price, and very servicable. I bought one at the local Galyan's for about $4, and cut it to fit my SureFire E2 + KL1. I can't find the package for the part number; you might find...

    KL1 owners inside please

I have one on an E2 HA SureFire. It's one of my EDC lights, and probably gets the most use of any single flashlight I own. On a 2 x 123 body, it's good for about 4 hours of really bright light. And it is very bright; about the same as a Surefire E1, although the beam isn't as tight. The color...

Spoke Too Soon About LED Headlights! Check It!

It seems to me that 18 5 watt Luxeons can't even come close to the output of an HID lamp, and that's what all of the high end Audi's have. Much as we'd like to see it, the future of automotive headlamps is going to be HID's. Tail lights and turn signals are another matter; LED's offer some real...

Wholly crap Batman!! SF L1 shipping!

About *2 months ago* (give or take) I saw a post that was titled "A2 shipping on [this] Friday". Anybody receive an A2 yet? NO???? I'M SHOCKED! Just because it's listed on a website, doesn't mean they are *actually* going to available antime soon. Don't get all worked up until somebody...

Please list your Favorite LED Flashlights

    1) Large: ElectroLumens 2D/3C converted to 1W white Luxeon Star. 2) Medium: E2 + Kl1, or sLS, depending on my mood.(I EDC one or the other). EternaLight Elite Xray runs a close second behind the 2 primary ones. My LI also gets quite a bit of use. Lots of nice lights in this class, of course...

    LightWedge -New LED book light!

Looks too big, or small, unless you have the exact size pages in your book. And nowhere near as flexible to use as a booklight with a clip and a light on a little boom, like an Itty Bitty Book Lite. Somebody just didn't think this out, IMHO.

    Tritium Lights and You

I've seen a lot of interest in Tritium lights here on the CPF and have held my breath for sometime, but feel compelled to post a few things. While I won't debate the safety issue directly (I'll leave that to someone else), I will relate a couple facts about Tritium lights just to ensure...

    Eternalight 3M marine vs. EliteXRay

I'm very fond of the EternaLight line of lights, and I consider the Elite Xray a significant improvement over the Marine model, which I also own. The Elite is noticeably brighter, (but only in a side by side comparison; in real world use, the outputs are pretty similar). The tougher...

Has anybody seen this Luxeon Star light on eBay?

Luxeon Star Collimator Lite Flashlight -NEW!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1982538868 It uses 3 AAA cells, and sels for $35 plus shipping of $4. No mention is given on water resistance; and given the claimed burn time of 2 to 3 hours, I'm assuming unregulated current...

    Eternalight Ergo 3

Eppes Corner has had the top of the Eternalight line, the Elite Xray, for $50 for some time. Their site is down for repair, but here's the URL: http://www.eppes.com/ Full retail is $80, BTW. I love my EternaLights; arguably the best single power failure/emergengy light available.

    brightest white flashlight

The Long Gun Illuminator, made in limited numbers by CPF member Mr. Bulk, stomps all over the KLx's! Battery life of only 3 AA alkalines is somewhat limited, of course, but it's by far the brightest single Luxeon Star flashlight I have seen, and am fortunate enough to own.

    E2E Weight With KL1?

I have my E2 with the KL1 with me; I prefer it to the longer E2e; and the lack of a clip is a big plus getting it into the holster I modified for it.(*Perfect* fit) The E2 + Kl1 weighs 86.3 grams, or 3.05 oz., with Duracell 123's Add a few tenths of an oz. for the lock out tail cap, and...

My Photon Fusion keeps turning itself off

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It's not that bad. 99% of the time, you just use the full power mode. It's the same functions that a Photon 3 has, except for the 'hyperbright' mode. Would that explain why you're still using a Commodore 64? Just kidding. I can remember playing with a...
