    New Surefire Light?

[ QUOTE ] 357 said: The below quote is taken off Quickbeam's excellent flashlight reviews website: http://flashlightreviews.home.att.net/index1.html [ QUOTE ] COMING SOON: Top Secret (not really), Confidential (sort-of), New (definitely!), Surefire light. I wish I could tell you more, but...

    You don't need a flashlight

Re: You don\'t need a flashlight That's just plain foolish. Now that summer is here (in America) I only EDC an Arc-AAA, and an Arc LSH-P. On my keychain is an UK 2AAA Pocketbright, which simply refuses to die, (probably 10 years in my pocket; the grooves and ridges in the plastic case are...

An FYI regarding the MA-02 LA for the SF A2: $23

I recently bought a SF A2, and of course I like to have a spare lamp for all of my lights. The MA-02 is an expensive little bugger, but Lagger Pro has them, although they aren't on their website. $23 with free shipping; much cheaper than I could find it elsewhere...

Least expensive place online to buy A2 LA????

Hi, Title says it: with SF getting rid of most of it's on line dealers, I can't find a decent price for the A2 lamp, (MA02, IIRC). Unless I'm not looking in the right place, of course...! A google search wasn't any help, unfortunately. $23 + $6 shipping isn't much of a bargain! This lamp...

Need a bright light for Africa

I had a friend who was in the Peace Corps in Africa, although several years ago. She reported that C cells were very difficult to obtain outside of tourist areas, where they were predictibly expexsive. Likely, this varies with the country, but I'd stick with a D cell light, for it's longer life...

Have you ever seen one of these glow light?

[ QUOTE ] 5.0Trunk said: I broke both bones in my lower leg when I crashed on my son'd razor scooter. The cast's material is made to glow in the dark> [/ QUOTE ] OUCH! That's a fairly major injury. I'm glad it was 'only' your leg, and not your neck or spine! I hope you make a full recovery...

    Small 123 battery flashlight?

[ QUOTE ] paulr said: Sean, how would you compare the E1 incandescent with the Arc LSH? [/ QUOTE ] Comparing my E1 and LSH-P, I find the E1 has more throw than the LSH-P, and of course puts out a more concentrated beam. This makes it less usefull for close-up tasks, but better for...

How many lights for cave exploring?

Something I've been wondering about: just how many lights does an *experienced* cave explorer carry? I carry 3 or 4 as EDC lights; if I were going to be someplace where my life might depend on my light(s) I'd probably be carrying about 6 or 8, with tons of extra batteries. Just guessing here...

"bump in the night lights" question

Re: [ QUOTE ] dano said: I'm not an advocate of anyone doing their own house clearing if they hear that suspicious "bump." --dan [/ QUOTE ] What do you advocate? Calling 911? Aside from the looooong response time, I doubt the dispatcher in my large urban area would even *send* the LEO's...

    Your one and only light...

Tough decision! But I really don't think a one LED light (Arc-AAA, or CMG Infinity/Ultra) has enough light for many, if not most, outdoor tasks. I think I'd have to go with my EternaLight Elite Xray; which was someone else's's top choice as well. My only caveat is that I get to carry at least 2...
