Headphones
I'll second the reconmendation of Headroom.com. They're the best site on the net for not getting taken by marketing hype on headphones. Of course you'll end up paying more than you originally planned...but if you're on this board that's probably happened once or twice already. -

I'm not saying some yahoo wouldn't stick his head in front of a train somewhere (I've seen an idiot sit on the tracks until the train was less than 50 feet away), just that this list isn't actually the Darwin Awards. Probably a nice collection of urban myths like the scuba diver in the forest fire. -

SureFire and Government Contracts
I have investigators in my office who are retired (within the last couple years) city police or sheriff's deputies from the Bay Area. When I showed them my new SF E2E last week they all had never heard of SF. I'll check with my counterpart in the Sheriff's Office next week and see what they buy...
