    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2025

Re: Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2013 I purchased an 8-pack of Eneloop AA batteries listed as SEC-HR3U8BPN on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UG41XW/?tag=cpf0b6-20 Although the outside packaging claims 1800 recharge cycles and 70% capacity after 5 years, all of the cells...

    Best charger/batteries for Fenix TK45

For charger(s), just get two of these: http://www.thomasdistributing.com/shop/maha-mhc9000-advanced-battery-chargerbrfree-deluxe-storage-case-included-p-405.html

Has anyone actually got close to rated capacity on any batteries with C-9000?

Something to keep in mind with respect to *all* versions of the C9000 is that it has a 90% duty cycle. What this does during the break-in cycle is apply a .1C charge rate 90% of the time over 16 hours, which results in a total of 1.44C applied to the cell, not the full 1.6C that would occur...

I got a C9000 a few days ago directly from MAHA. It is also version 0G0D01. Eu

    Eneloop AAA self-discharge study

I bought a MH-C9000 charger/analyzer from TD, along with some 4-packs of AAA Enelooop NiMH batteries. The manufacture date on the rear of the packages was 2006-04, or April of 2006. I did not test open voltage (since I don't have a voltmeter), but using the ZTS MBT-1 (new version) I got mostly...

Do not carry 9 volt batteries in pocket

You know, I used to do this, too. If it's really, really tangy, then the battery is good. If it's just a dull buzz on the tongue, it's running low. :duh2: If it's just cold metal, then the battery is dead. :shakehead I recently got a ZTS MBT-1, so I don't expect I'll be "tongue testing"...

    New ZTS MBT-1 battery tester

I seem to get unexpected results from Energizer L92 AAA Lithium cells, too. New cells are testing at 60% to 80%, and partially discharged cells are testing at 10% or 0% (the MBT-1 clicks, but no LED lights up). Not sure what the cause might be. Tests of Energizer L91 AA Lithiums produce...

    Battery explosion with Fenix P1D

Well, it looks to me like there is a puncture in the battery: And with respect to single cell problems, this is what I would look for: Hence, always inspect a battery before using it.... Eu

    More dying Energizer 2500's...

This is exactly what I did. I was so pleased with my first E-15, and learning about the awful performance of the many different kinds of 2500+ mAh batteries, went and bought another E-15 to have a backup charger as well as to get 4 additional 2200mAh Energizers. The only other NiMH...

    eneloop and standard: self-discharge question

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned that this is a poor application for rechargeable NiMH batteries of whatever capacity. We have here a situation where the camera is kept in the vehichle to always be ready for that "Kodak moment," not knowing when such moments may occur, or their...

Are Eneloops NiMh the Absolute best Brand?

I don't yet have any eneloops, but am seriously considering getting some. I pay careful attention to customer reviews of consumer-oriented products, and the eneloops are very very popular with reviewers on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LNI5VC/?tag=cpf0b6-20...

A look at NiMh Parallel Charging

Presently, I frequently use AA NiMH in pairs (eg., in a digital camera), so I am keenly interested in what procedures to follow when charging in order to get balanced cells. I have the 4000N, which I got after reading the many positive recommendations here on CPF, so I am very curious as to its...

    A123 Safe Li-Ion cell in 18650 size

Not all that much capacity (at approximately 3.63Wh), but, HEY, look at the charge times:

Does anyone make a fast charger for 18650 Li-Ion batteries?

What I was trying to alleviate is the need to babysit the charger(s) for long periods of time. More batteries would be convenient to a certain extent, as then I would have a greater contiguous stretch of time before needing to do any charging. Also, when time for charging rolled around, all...

    Ultrafire WF-138/WF-139 LiIon chargers

There are a number of threads now on Li-Ion chargers (I started one here), and they all seem to point in the direction of dissatisfaction with available non-professional chargers. I dislike the DSD, which apparently does not overcharge, because of the long charging times for 18650 cells (I see...

Does anyone make a fast charger for 18650 Li-Ion batteries?

I thank you for the offer, but I already ordered a new CH-02 AC charger from Pacific Tactical. If it is true that the CH-02 overcharges, I may just limit recharging by setting a timer, since my applications don't require maximized battery capacity. I am simply tired of waiting for the much...

Does anyone make a fast charger for 18650 Li-Ion batteries?

They said that the Tenergy-DSD was all they had in the way of 18650 (non-pack) chargers, and they changed their webpage for that charger (item # 13936) so that the claimed charging current is now 350mA instead of 1000mA (although the webpage still contains inaccurate info, including the same...

Does anyone make a fast charger for 18650 Li-Ion batteries?

Thank you for the links. Both of these websites are run by the same Canadian company. I went ahead and placed an order for this charger, and you know what they sent me? A Tenergy-branded version of the DSD with a charging current of 350mA! :ohgeez: So now I have to return it to Canada. Anyone...

Lithium AA preference for digital cameras?

You can get an 8-pack of Energizer L91 AA Lithium primary batteries at Wal-Mart for around $16.75 or so, not including tax. When it comes to Lithium primaries, I don't mess with "no-name" brands.
