    Maglite XL100 LED Flashlight Review

Here you are: With 3 AAA Alkaline batteries, time in hours: Detailed view of the first 35 minutes: After 8 minutes the flashlight starts to regulate down in small steps. With 3 AAA Eneloops: The first 35 minutes with 3 AAA Eneloops. The stepping down begins after approx. 16 minutes...

    LD01 vs ITP/Maratac AAA

Size comparison of both flashlights: The Cree XP-E in the iTP is much smaller than the XR-E in the Fenix: The Fenix feels more solid than the iTP. The iTP has the nicer beam pattern and the modes are spaced better but the PWM can be visible in some conditions in low and medium mode. At 200Hz...

Shocker? Olight with SST 90...what to expect from these?

Re: Olight with SST 90...what to expect from these? No, 0.64 °C/W ist just the same as 0.64 K/W. The °C and K stand for a temperature difference and not a temperature in that expression. The magnitude of one degree Celsius and that of one kelvin are exactly the same.

    Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2

Re: What does the Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2 not exist or something? The RRT-2 has more throw (14klx at 1m) than the T100C2 (11klx) but the beam of the T100C2 is nicer. Beamshots at 1m click for larger image (1200px × 3950px) The dim flash is hardly visible without looking directly into the...

    Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2

Re: What does the Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2 not exist or something? There is a spring loaded metal ball in the selector ring and detents in the adjectant part of the head. I tried to take some photos. The first one is showing the ball when a mode is selected and a part of the ball sticks into a...

    Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2

Re: What does the Jetbeam Raptor RRT-2 not exist or something? I can't say much about the RRT-2 yet. I only have it for some hours and it's not yet dark outside. Between the T100C2 and the M20 I prefer the T100C2. The Eagletac T100C2 has a much nicer beam than the Olight M20 and switching...

    Liteflux LF2XT (Part 3)

I can see this but I didn't have any success trying to capture it with my USB-scope. The 1.9kHz PWM makes is difficult to measure something as slow as this at this low level. This was easy to capture: Zoomed into the point where the light is turned on at low level: The first pulse is too...

    Liteflux LF2XT (Part 2)

Yes, I bought from kuku. I hope I got the color right on my photos. It is a bit difficult with these shiny surfaces. Looking at the LF2Xt from different angeles makes the surface look lighter or darker. It's even hard to see if head and body have the same color.

    Liteflux LF2XT (Part 2)

My natural LF2XT arrived today. 5 days from Taiwan to Germany - not too bad. Color of the anodizing is a nice shiny grey. Some photos: Fenix E0 natural, LF2XT, Fenix LD01 SS and some uncoated aluminium. Cree XP-E emitter at the bottom of the OP reflector The light uses PWM at...

    The Quark lights thread!

In Germany the word Quark is used for a sort of fresh cheese/curd cheese. "Red' keinen Quark" also means "Don't talk nonsense". Quark as a name for a flashlight seems very odd to me.

Just got my Eagletac M2XC4..First Impressions

I don't think the M2XC4 is overrated, it is just rated differently. Eagletac always states emitter lumens, Fenix uses torch lumens for the TK40.

Just got my Eagletac M2XC4..First Impressions

It's 9 AM local time now and my lightbox has been busy the whole night. Level 3 runtime of my neutral white M2XC4: 3.9 hours Level 2: 11.4 hours No PWM in any mode. With my USB-Scope I can only detect some ripple from the buck converter in the light. Strobe Frequency is 8Hz with a 50%...

Just got my Eagletac M2XC4..First Impressions

I'm sure the 2200mAh AW batteries mev used for the runtime test must have been quite old and in a poor condition. I got 95 minutes (1.58 hours) on level 4 with 2 black 2400mAh Trustfires in my neutral white M2XC4. I did not yet do runtime test in the lower levels but from the measured current...

EagleTac P100 Series unboxing and initial impressions

I just finished the general mode runtime on 2 Surfire CR123A's. Recording runtime data of Eagletac flashlights in general mode is boring. In the case of the P100C2 I had to wait for more than 15 hours before anything happened. I'm not sure if I will repeat this test with a 17670 or two...

EagleTac P100 Series unboxing and initial impressions

I forgot to mention that the protected Ultrafire 17670 did not fit into the battery tube because the protection pcb was to big and off center. I had to remove the protection circuit. A protected 17650 from AW should fit. The Ultrafire 17670 had 1800mAh printed on it but I tested it at 1300mAh...
