    Rayovac Indestructible Spotlight - 500 Lumens - 6xAA

got this light from walmart today, $18.00. very bright on high, and throws far with deep reflector. I can't complain considering the price. Can't confirm output or run times. If the trigger switch holds up I will be a satisfied customer.

    Review of SysMax/NiteCore Intellicharger i4 V2 Charger

my i4 Intellicharger died after I put four AA nimh and then plugged it the wall. Would not power up from the AC cord but did power up from the car cord, unfortunately that also malfunctioned. No repair facility in the USA, so I have another paperweight. Very disappointed in the return or repair...

    Ultrafire

I wish this Forum had a thank button because "Subwoofer" above was spot on! My only inexpensive light to fail is one I have EDC'd for years, UltraFire A1. I totally agree that if my life depended on it I would buy the best flashlight I could afford.

    Ultrafire

Zombieslayer, I have the same flashlight and it's fine. If only Porsches and BMW's were allowed on the roads very few people would be driving! Don't be intimidated by the elitists. I just ordered a few flashlights from dealextreme ( a million apologies) The A30B, Akoray K-109, and the Aurora...

Could a laser have helped in Colorado?

I'm new to the laser forum but had the same thought! Trying to get a head shot with a conventional handgun might have been very difficult, but hitting the same target with a strong laser very possible. Such a hit by a laser could have temporarily disabled or distracted the shooter long enough...

    Anyone Know of this Brand?

I was researching green lasers online and found the "freemascot.com" site. They have a 500mw green laser for under $70.00. Does anyone have experience with this company? Does it sound too good to be true? Thanks, Frank

    Lost in Cyberspace

I usually read and post in the LED section but I've decided to learn about lasers. I somehow found myself in the marketplace section of the site and ended up registering as a new users thinking the format had changed. Talk about getting turned around:eek: Well, I'm back in familiar territory and...

    Streamlight Scorpion Destroyed!

Great idea! Maybe Streamlight could use it in a commercial? I'm still impressed with how thick the aluminum is on that little flashlight, they made it to last! They could not anticipate what me and my dremel would do...

    Streamlight Scorpion Destroyed!

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll let the dust settle for a while, I did enough damage for the time being. Then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained:shakehead Frank

    Streamlight Scorpion Destroyed!

I should have known better than to try and mod my old scorpion, but I gave it a try. since the head does not come apart to release the lens, I decided to use my dremel with a cutoff wheel. That was a big mistake! When I finally got the head separated I saw that the aluminum was just over 1/8th...

I've been edc'ing a Ultrafire A1 for a couple of years and it is compact, bright on high, great run time on low. No complaints other than lack of memory. Frank

Mini Mag 2AA LED Upgrade (TerraLUX TLE-5EX MiniStar2 Extreme?)

I installed the terralux upgrade a few years back with a tailcap switch and the terralux failed when the contact pins broke after repeated turning of the lens. Terralux sent me a free replacement which had beefed up contactsto prevent breakage. Bottom line, the LED upgrade vastly improves the...

    Techlite Lumen Master from Costco

Simply take them back. Even without the receipt you should have no problem having them replaced with a new package.

    College Student Flashlight

I sent my two daughter to college with cheap AAA flashlights smalll enough to carry in a purse and not a big deal when they are lost, which they most certainly will be! Three D cell maglite with terralux or other LED upgrade because run time is great, flashlight is so big it is not easily...

Upgrade mini mag or new led flashlight

I did the terralux upgrade and tailcap switch on my AA Minimag and although it vastly improved the flashlight it is still no match for other LED flashlights at a fraction of the cost. I EDC the Ultrafire A1 from dealextreme and on a single RCR123A it out shines, out performs and outlasts the...

    Incendio V3 Question

Guys, thank you for the useful feedback. I was concerned that the high setting was too unstable and made the flashlight more of a novelty. I will be placing an order soon, and the low setting really makes it perfect for my needs. I have been edcing a Ultrafire A1 for a couple years without any...
