    Most useful light?

I'm back again with more annoying questions... I just don't have the money to buy every light I see and love. What would you say was the most useful light you've ever used or have in your collection? Not necessarily EDC-able, not necessarily economical, just the one light you've found yourself...

O regulated incandesent, where art thou?

Ah, touche. But that still doesn't explain the lack of regulated incans. Cost, prehaps? Its just a great feature.

O regulated incandesent, where art thou?

Well sure, you can look at it that way. However... take a look at the runtime plot for the M2, for example. It uses two batteries and puts out 65 lumens. It hits 50% at 54 minutes, declining the entire time. For those same two batteries and about 75-80 lumens, the A2 will run dead even at...

O regulated incandesent, where art thou?

Of course, we know the regulated incandesent is standard in the A2. Other lights can be modified to accomidate them. But it has been 2... or is it 3... years since the introduction of the A2 and it is still the only light that comes stock with a regulated incandesent. Frankly, I would expect...

    A2 Avaitor light arrived today

I must be unlucky or something, I've got pretty noticable artifacts in my beam. Although that doesn't matter because on my long list of light-related purchases is getting a different LED ring from SF. But its a beautiful light, aint it?

    Which color Surefire A2 LED?

I have mine in blue. Its good because it doesn't ruin your vision, but I wish I had white sometimes when I need it to be a little bit brighter. Blue is great for indoors but gets lost for me outside.

    What Feature do you desire?

Digging this thread up to make my suggestions... A regulated incan, lets say... 120 lumens. Runs on 2 lithiums... about 5.5 inches long, 1 inch bezel and tailcap, thinner center with knurling. And the best part... the tailcap. Clicking tailcap, with typical gentle press momentary, full for...

Will an KL4 or KL1 head work on an A2 body, with two-stage fuctionality?

    Vote and save my sanity.

I've already got the A2... its a pretty high output incandesent, and I wont get anything signifigantly brighter from an EDC. I do, however, want a LED that can put out some signifigant light. *EDIT* I did look into the gladius, anyone comments on usefullness, comfort in hands... despite the...

Re: L4 You're right, greenled... What I mean, is that I would like very much to be able to carry one light that can totally obliterate someones vision close range, and yet be usable in casual situations too. I hardly need to engage a foe from afar or pin down an entire unit or something...

    L4 ?

I believe that the threads are (or in your case were) secured with locktite... so right now if its not moving at all, thats good. If it wiggles around or whatever... thats bad. Heat the bezel in hot water (just dip the end in), which will losen the locktite so you can turn it, and retighten...
