C.E.P., thanks for the information. MagichShine, Lupine, and BikeRay are off the list. It's not so bad that the MagicShine goes to its lowest setting to prevent overheating; what's terrible is that it's lowest setting happens to put out worthless amounts of light! The Ferei HL08 definitely... -

LED_Thrift, I think it's really tough to say what effect caving will have on a bike lamp, unless someone has first hand experience. On the one hand, like you mention, it's pretty cool in a cave - most of the caves that I find myself in are 50-60 degrees. Maybe cool enough that just walking... -
