    I think surefire e series lights have the retaining ring. Might be a little different though. Thanks for the great review... I really want this light but I must hold off.. trying to save up $280 for a UA2 :o.

    Chao... have you tried a runtime test or got lux readings using 2xrcr123? if not... could you? How the new KX2 performs on rcr123s would be the deciding factor for me. thanks

    thanks selfbuilt and grinsekatz. I guess I just overreacted :oops:. I haven't received the light or the batteries. I'll try them out and see if they dig into pill. if it does, I'm sure I can make it better.

    Wow, thats for that video Wade. up until that video, I still didn't understand how the light worked. Now I do and its simple enough. one question however, when tightening or loosening the bezel, is there a click or "notch" feeling? Thanks in advance.

    thanks a lot selfbuilt. I was looking forward to you review and it was well worth the wait. I'm surprised the L1D Q5 is brighter on 14500, probably direct drive but I can only guess. Can't wait till we receive the final version.

    I think its safe to say regulation is bad with lithium, in comparison to alks. I still hope they can make it better.
