    Show your beat up light.

+1 I've never heard of someone managing to completely smooth a SureFire tailcap, and I've heard a lot about SureFire tailcaps.

How do you carry your EDC light?

Currently run my E1e hanging on my right pocket with the clip, with my Kershaw Chill in the pocket. Nice little EDC combo. E1e will be replaced by an E1B once I save up the other $60 for it though.

Do any of you use Incandescent lights anymore?

Weirdly right now I'm using mostly SureFire incans, E1e, E2e, 6P, the older A2 Incan, all of which very good, I think I'll be picking up a new E1B, which will put my 5 year old E1e a well deserved, retirement with dignity. My L1, E2L and L2 are all a bit lonely on my shelf at the moment.

Ever had a clicky tail switch fail?

I've had two clickies from SF fail since 2006, One in my E2D, and one in my E1E, both of which were replaced by SF. Both of which had the same issue (being stuck in the depressed position, or refusing to come on and click down into the on position.).

Surefire E1e - broken lens & tailcap - PROBLEM RESOLVED

Re: Surefire E1e - broken lens & tailcap I'm usually known for coming around posts like these and defending SF to heck but I'll take this opportunity to actually agree with this post. SureFire obviously provided you with a lemon E1e. Both a "chipping" or "cracking" front lens / bezel assembly...

How long has your EDC lasted?

I know a friend who EDC's a E1 (See the bottom of my post). He's had it for about 3 or maybe 4 years now. It has the normal Anodizing Scratch here and there buts thats to be expected with use and while being carried in a pocket with key's. I've been EDCing a E1L for... 2 month's so i don't...

    Burning smell from Surefire G2...

Step 1. Take those batteries out of your light and dump every one of them in the trash. (I'm being serious. This is for your safety / well being and the well being of others around you and your house / assets.) Step 2. Take a look at the drop in and see if there is any plastic which could be...

    Shock Isolation..How?

This will give you a slight understanding on how they work. The head you see is from a SureFire M6. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pr1Tj2kY-ZI

    Not Your EDC - But Your Most Used . . . .

I would probably say that my Most used is as well my EDC. E1L. If it wasn't than it would for sure be my A2.

    A2 LED color--cant decide

I would go with Red. I bought a Red A2 (Which is sitting to the right of me at this moment.) and have loved it. White might be a good idea if you wanted a light to use while waking around the house and didn't want red (I personally use my A2 at night when making those 2:00AM trips to the loo...

Can you still get M2 bezels in black?

In all honesty, how tough is the Maglite body?

Drop it off a 9 story building and i'll pay for the Mag!
  15. lightr07

In all honesty, how tough is the Maglite body?

There no chance of it twisting or warping at all. Its more likely that the persons head would be ... "damaged" (skull cracked :faint:) before it did much to the Maglite. They aren't that tough in the surface / coating department. They'll stand up the the occasional drop but will start to wear...

    Show your 'rigs'

I wasn't planing on replying but i couldn't resist. So here's mine I have a SC1 that i use but its in a box on my bed at our other house so it couldn't be in the picture. Its a pretty blurry pic as i'm busy moving but it gets the point across. Nothing too special. Just an E2D head on my E1e...

How to upgrade a Surefire G2?

A 6P would be a good choice. It'll also be more "Drop/Tumble/Throw/Smack/Bullet resistant" than the Nitrolon body of the G2. You also could go to a 9P and then have 105/200 Lumens standard. (200 is with a P91)

Anyone had TSA confiscated your LED flashlight?

If i travel usually its with something like an E1e. Not bright. No Strike bezel, Usually with batteries removed. If some type of "security" situation happened recently than i might just send a light to my hotel (In a medium sized box with plenty of padding or packing peanuts.) if I'm going to be...

    Surefire Lego?

I might get a Z59 for one of my G2's. My local store has the entire (almost) SureFire line. They have every light except for the M4 and L7 Lumamax. I also got to hold the all mighty M6 for a few minutes (Oddly enough the guy who usually works at the counter also likes flashlights.)...

    Z61 TailCap / ReDesign?!

It looks like it actually has been changed. I just took the TailCap of my E1L (Now have it in hand) and its the "old" style. I wonder if this has something to do with the large failure rate of SF Clicky's. I have an E2D (Another one) with a bad clicky which i'm going to call in on Monday. So...
