    The Official Zebralight Thread

I mentioned a few posts before you that I had dropped my ZL bezel down from about a meter and until I read your post I never even thought to check my battery for damage. So after a quick inspection I too found that the top of my battery is a little dented. I have an SC64, which has 5 pogo pins...

    The Official Zebralight Thread

So about month ago I dropped my SC64 from 1 meter,it struck the ground bezel down and the lense and bezel ring both flew off. I've pressed the lense and bezel ring back on and so far I haven't had a problem with it even after multiple accidental drops from the same height. So, my question is...

    The Official Zebralight Thread

I received my SC64 today, ordered on 10-Feb, sent on the 23-Feb and received 22-Mar. Just a few things to note. It does show some light through the button at max output (not a problem for me) and that there is a coil spring in the tail cap; I was under the impression that there were pogo pins...

Surefire 6P host with Malkoff M61W drop in question?

Yeah it leaves a small gap and when I had this setup on my 6P dirt would find its way inside this gap but the O-ring prevented anything from actually getting into the flashlight itself. To fix the Malkoff gap on my C2 and to stop the belt clip from wobbeling I just put an M2 bezel on it but as I...

Worst Punishment of your LED Flashlights

I drop my Fenix TK10 from a height of 1.6m on a regular basis onto a tiled floor, hasn't skipped a beat except the switch needed to be retightened. When it finally gives up I'll replace it with a TK11R5 and repeat the process.

What light do you keep in your car?

    Surefire G3 with Malkoff M61WLL

Difficult choice: choosing the batteries first then the flashlight ?

It is for this very reason that i have a Surefire G3 (With M61WLL) as it can take 3 CR123A's or 2 AA Alkaline batteries.

New - Considering Custom Surefire G2

Plastic isn't a good conductor of heat, hence plastic handles on cooking equipment, so if your dropin was overheating you probably wouldn't be able to tell by temperature. Using the Metal Z44 as a gauge of how hot the module is is also difficult as the only way the dropin can transfer heat away...

using a flashlight as a car headlight for emergencies

It's not uncommon to be in a far off place without phone service and not have any passing traffic for hours on end (in Australia anyway) but it would be pretty bad luck to have the headlights go poof. Being prepared for this is no different from carrying 2+ edc's because the chance of both...

Do you like multi mode lights?

The only multi-mode light I've ever owned is a Fenix TK10 where you tighten/loosen the head to access high or low, this works well for me but I wouldn't mind a 2 mode clicky.

New - Considering Custom Surefire G2

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this but I copied the above information from the malkoff devices sight. It's a warning for the M61/W and not for the L and LL's, it's just a precaution but have you run your module for longer then 15 continuous minutes? If so then I guess the metal bezel does...

using a flashlight as a car headlight for emergencies

I tried driving with a flashlight once.......... I just hope that I'll never have to do it in an emergency.

If you had to give up all your LED flashlights but one, which would you keep?

If it had to be only one, I'd pick my Surefire 6PL.

    p7 ledlenser problem

It could be any number of things... try cleaning all the contact points with rubbing alcohol and make sure that the switch is not loose. I remember back around the time you purchased your light that LED Lenser had some problems with the switches on some of their P5's (symptom's which match the...
