NEW - Another different (better?) Sipik SK68?

Simple to convert. You take the negative wire off of where it is soldered to the driver. And solder it to the out side ring. I'm on my phone at work, but ill post a picture or find a link for you tomorrow.

NEW - Another different (better?) Sipik SK68?

I got a couple of these the other day. Few things... I really like how there are no sharp angles to poke you like the fins on a regular SK68 Love how wide it is, the beam is roughly double the width at flood as a normal SK68 Clip is a bit "softer" than the 2 SK68's I have. So its easier to...

Charging 26500 with the Pila IBC

With the new 26500's out here is how to charge them with your pila IBC Parts needed 2 C size battery holders (99c ea at radio Shack) 4 small alligator clips ($2 for a 10 pack) 2 Screws (I forget if it was a 5-40 or a 6-32 that fit) I just took my IBC into the ACE store near me and found 2...

    IMR26500 Fitment [pictures added]

Got my batteries today One battery is 1.031 The other 1.037 I own 4 2C mags, even with sanding the batteries down the one that started at 1.037 wont fit in any of them. So now I will have to hone out the inside of the mag I intend to use it in. Should have just taken $30 and lit it on fire...

What is the Best / Brightest UV Flashlight?

Just FYI Battery Junction stocks them. Well worth the extra $7 not to deal with KD/DX, and you'll have it in a day or so.

One good way to deal with button-less Li-ions

Bimmerboy Great idea. I think this might be a good idea for making short "springs" for maglites too. Glad you bumped this one wquiles!

    Maglite 12-D Cell

Just for giggles I went and did a quick measure on my 6D mag. A 12D would end up right around 34inches...... LOL

    sleeve to run 2XAW18650's in a 2C MAG61

In fact I just went and tested it. No the 5761 will not run with the protected 18650. You will need the IMR's.

    sleeve to run 2XAW18650's in a 2C MAG61

I don't think the protected 18650's will run a 5761. I believe with that much draw the protection will kick in. They will run a 1111 fine.

    sleeve to run 2XAW18650's in a 2C MAG61

Run time.... Math based, not real world test time. I think the 5761 draws 5500mA at the tail cap....So using DM51's formula... mAh of the battery / mA draw of the bulb x60 to get mins. /80% (usable battery life to prevent over discharge) IMR26500 = 20mins IMR18650 = 13mins

    IMR26500 Fitment [pictures added]

C mags don't use a spring for positive contact like the D's do. They use a flat bit of copper in its place. There are no problems with contact with the new IMR's. Still a bit cheesed off that the batteries are so out of spec to a stock C....... But what fun would flashlights be if they worked...

    sleeve to run 2XAW18650's in a 2C MAG61

LOL Mines not all that fancy, but come on man cardboard??:nana: Go spend $1 at home depot! I use this set up on my LED 2C because it will last a whole shift without having to change batteries. But on incans I use the plastic because of the short runtime and having to swap batteries alot.

    sleeve to run 2XAW18650's in a 2C MAG61

Tube Specs. OD 1.025 inch (26mm) ID 0.75 inch (19mm) Length can not get it with my mics in one measure. It is just a tic under 4 inches so 100mm would be perfect. This fits the tube perfect, it also has a O ring notch about 0.5 inch from the end to make it friction fit the tube at the rear...

    Dog whistles

Dog whistles work for a very short period of time. IT might work to shut them up for a few days, but then they will become accustom to the sound and ignore it. Based on trying to shut up a pack of 4 taco dogs a few doors down that bark from midnight till 8 am and then 8:05am till...

What is the oldest led that you still carry on a regular basis?

A friend that works at surefire gave me a KL1 months before it came out. And idiot me I beat the heck out of it, instead of putting it away..... I use it alot as a headlamp (clipped to my ball cap) when changing light bulbs or whatever.
