    Time for a new charger

Started reading about the MC3000. It appeals to the geek in me but the thread is super long. Have not run across the failure rate yet for the charger and how warranty has been handled. There is one left on AMAZON.

    Time for a new charger

I have a Nitecore d-2 for my Lithium, and I can use it for enloops, but I have grown used to the refresh etc features of the MAHA. I would be open to chargers that can handle both Lithium and MiMH. I just don't want (and there might be no way around it) a disposable charger.

    Time for a new charger

I have a MAHA MH9000. This is my second one, as the first one was replaced on warranty. Now this one seems to be doing what most MH9000 do and that is slowly losing one charging bay after another. Can't complain too much as I have gotten years out of it. I mostly charge enelops and am...

    Using unprotected 16650

I have a couple of Surefires (6P&C2) that have Malkoff LED conversions. Can I use a single 16650 in these lights with little concern for fire, meltdown, etc? Or do I spend approx. twice as much for a protected cell?

Dumb and dangerous idea of the day

Don't think I will ever go back to incandescent, and can't see the point anymore of boring out bodies. I still have my surefire incan bulbs and reflectors but can't go back to them. Any particular brands that seem better than others? I assume they are all available as protected cells...

Dumb and dangerous idea of the day

While you guys are being so helpful, I guess I might as well get them all figured out. 2 x 18500 will take care of each of my Malkoffs that take three primary 123s. what do I do with surefire 6p bodies and 9p bodies, 2 and 4 cells respectively running m61 malkoff leds, and m61sho led...

Dumb and dangerous idea of the day

Just made the jump into rechargeable 18650s for use in a Malkoff Hound Dog. I have two of them one the takes 4 primary 123s and one that takes 3 primary 123s. I know that two 18650s will work in the 4 cell unit, but the bright idea entered my head and I though "could I use 1 18650 and 1...

    Broken MAHA MH-C-9000?

Richm, You got better service than I did! I had to pay for shipping to get my charger to CA. Still pretty good service and the new one is working just fine. I hope this is not going to be a recurring problem.

    Broken MAHA MH-C-9000?

Yup, pressing the bottons as fast as is old man humanly possible. Also it only does this on the first battery slot. Update, MAHA sent me a new charger. I talked to them on the phone (Erik, I think) and he said yes it was defective. Haven't needed to charge any batteries so I haven't tried...

    Broken MAHA MH-C-9000?

Does it no matter what the battery is. A freshly charged battery out of ports 2,3,or 4 when put into #1 will instantly go to charge without allowing any change in charging rate.

    Broken MAHA MH-C-9000?

When I put a battery into the #1 port it goes right to charge, and will not allow me to change the charging level. Is it time for this unit to go back to MAHA???

    Energizer 2500 maH

Just ran my Energizers through a "refresh analyze" cycle on the MAHA C-9000. They previously had been charged a few times on the Energizer charger that came with the batteries (Sam's Club). I got the following 2297, 2311, 2312, and 2298. Is this good or bad?

123 lithiums dead in the pack

I fiddled around with the rejuvination process, and got every battery to at least read 20% on the ZTS. Two read 100% after rejuvinating, while a couple read 80% but an hour later they were at 60%. Regardless I tested and conditioned or "rejuvinated" all the bad AmondoTech Titanium batteries...

123 lithiums dead in the pack

So because I used a ZTS that means the indication of bad cells is wrong??? I don't think so. Maybe I will have to try a couple of hunderd tests of a good battery on the ZTS to see what happens. Taking a fresh new battery and testing it with the ZTS and getting 0% or 20% is certainly an...

123 lithiums dead in the pack

I fixed my mistake on pricing, thanks for the heads up. I also lean towards the Surfires and have already voted with my check book. I leave lights with batteries in them in my truck and car. Might not use them for months, but when I need them I don't want a dead on the shelf battery. Useless...

123 lithiums dead in the pack

Named Names I guess it is time to name names, although I would guess that most people knew already. The company that I bought the batteries from is AmondoTech, and they were the Titanium series. I should also note that AmondoTech's warrenty on the 123s is three month from the invoice date...

123 lithiums dead in the pack

A little update. I informed the company of this thread in a PM and received a responce back, saying thank you. No discussion just thank you. Also no response to my direct email to the company. Maybe they are going to send me some batteries???? HAHA or it should it be HOHO as it is the...

123 lithiums dead in the pack

I understand the move on part, (I am a psychologist), and I actually tossed them a week ago, so even if the supplier asked for them back it will be impossible. It does however bug me because of the very short warranty on the batteries, and the fact that most likely thousands of these batteries...
