3rd annual,What flaslight did you find most useful for halloween?

...I carried my Husky 2d 4W Cree. I found a white plastic cup the fit over the head of it that made the perfect diffuser. Used it mostely as flood for the darkened streets. And I used it when crossing busy intersections so cars can see us. Also carried my small 1AA Energizer 1W Cree to light up...

Anyone Heard of this "Cobalt" Brand Flashlight?

Hey Sims, Actually at Lowes, it's Kobalt. Decent light, but many claim it's overpriced. The brand in question here is Cobalt. I saw a few at OSH. Didn't recognize the 1 Watt LED as a Luxeon or Cree. And my phone couldn't get even a near decent picture. Didn't have long, wife was in...

Leatherman LGX200 is a Fenix rebrand...

Uh oh... when Costco starts to change the price to xx.97, it's a sign that they are clearing them out. Get 'em while you can. [If you really want one, don't gamble on another price drop cuz they'll disappear quickly it they haven't already.] Danielo

    Tiniest of tinies...

Re: Tiniest of tiny's.. Here's something I saw at Target: It was on the end cap where all the other "As Seen On TV" products were. It was awhile back but it was around $9. Buddy of mine had one on his Blackberry Pearl. He seemed to like it. Just a thought. It has a 5mm LED that seemed...

If you were getting a EDC - As a Prize

I voted for AA. I primarily use a single 1AA using NiMh. Guilt free lumens. I like the availability of the Alkies everywhere in case I need a replacement in a pinch. [I have a bunch of Kirkland Signatures by way of Costco.]

    Wooden flashlight

Right! PEU's work has been appreciated on CPF for awhile. See LED_Thrift's Post earlier in this thread... And My post... And Thanks for the link.

    Wooden flashlight

At first glance of the title, I was expecting something in the lines of PEU's beautiful handywork. Not even close. Secondly, how can this product be eco-friendly. It still appears to have the aluminum body just covered with wood. So, it adds the wood, not having the wood replace the...

    Home Depot 1AA Lights (pair)

Same here! I only got three pairs. First pack was normal price, but got the latter packs at the discounted price. Luckily I didn't have to make any returns. Gave three of the lights away... thinking they will always be stocked by HD. Mad at myself for being so naive! [sp?]...

New Cree + light OP reflector version: Energizer 1W 1AA @ Target

I have both the RR 1AA 1-Watt and the Energizer 1AA 1-Watt [Cree]. Though I loved the RR for the ages I've had it, the Energizer took it's place. [I keep the RR nearby, though.] The Energizer is much brighter and pattern seems similar. The two lights are relatively the same size. The clip is...

New Cree + light OP reflector version: Energizer 1W 1AA @ Target

Wow, thanks! I bought the River Rock 1AA 1-Watt ages ago. So I didn't get the Energizer since it was comparable since it had the luxeon. [aside having the forward clicky and the RR has a reverse.] If it does have a Cree and the price is still $17, I just might visit the local Target...

    Home Depot 1AA Lights (pair)

Have we forgotten the Dorcy 1AAA? I modded several of my Dorcys to 1/2 Watters just for s&g's. [Quite a few members modded their dorcys to 1watters.] Of course I bought a pair of these Husky 1AAs! Currently still playing with 'em un-modded. Just biding my time til the I can no longer...

Husky 2D 4Watt LED REVIEW! Compared To Taskforce 2C

I'm bummed. I went to the HD near my house on Saturday, they had none. [Didn't check with staff using the UPC or product code.] I went to the HD near my work today - Monday. Again, none found. [And again, I didn't check with any staff.] I was hoping to get one for walking with the daughter...

River Rock AA 1 Watt LED Runtime Test.

Yup, just got it at Target, too. If I didn't like it, I could easily return it. Boy am I soooo not returning it! :) The new RR 1 Watt x 1AA is pretty nice! It was a tad brighter than my Dorcy Super Watt [1W by 1 cr123] [at least to my eyes]. The CR123-battery was a fairly new Surefire 123...

    A Classic Revisited - Dorcy 1AAA

OK guys, I have been looking at the local Walmart and Target for the new fancy colored Dorcy's. [1AAA] No luck. On a whim, went to the KMart and they had a coupla gen2's. I was tempted, but decided against getting any. Also, they were $7.99 before tax. I looked further and saw they had a...
