McR-27XR Reflectors. Will they be stocked again?

It won't fit. The McR-27XR is much longer than the McR-27 that went into the Aleph1 head.

Shasta Owners: Pls. Advise re: N cells

Hi Sasha, I stock a 500mAh Nimh N cell and N -> AAA adaptors for charging that TnC machined. We use these in the TnC Key-Lux N cell lights. "N" Cell to AA size Adapters for charging NiMh "N" Cell Rechargeable Batteries

Aleph Light Engine Build **UPDATE WITH PROBLEM!!** 9/2/07

Ken is being cautious and wise avoiding running H Vf bins DD on a single Li-ion. I have been running H bins DD on li-ions for some time even with LuxIIIs with TnC canisters. These newer LEDs are putting out less heat than LuxIIIs since they are so much more efficient. However YMMV I will...

Aleph Light Engine Build **UPDATE WITH PROBLEM!!** 9/2/07

That does have me a bit stumped as any single li-ion should be ok. Perhaps the LE was still really hot if you quickly changed the cells you were testing?

Aleph Light Engine Build **UPDATE WITH PROBLEM!!** 9/2/07

Re: Aleph Light Engine Build Hi John 2x123 is over voltage. I think you were just driving the LED way to hard. I believe the NG just went into DD at that point as it's only set up for a single cell.

    Troubleshooting a McClicky?

I only encountered one such switch so far out of many. Since a customer had it I just sent a replacement.

White Wall Hunters, Seoul and Cree LEDs

I think when you are selling a product it's best to include the part # if it indicates an anticipated product attribute. Since the Cree and Seoul LEDs are all over the place you can just emphasize that the part number doesn't necessarily conform to the tint bin codes. I'm curious how well their...

    Aleph 3 UX1K VS HD45 UX1K?

Perhaps this is a classic case of YMMV, but when checking a half dozen of each with varying levels of equivalence, the A3s had more throw on my meters than the HD45s. The HD45 has a heavy orange peel compared to the A3 and the early HD45s had joker emitter/reflector mismatch (or match depending...

The many wonderful flavors of the McLux PD.... Share yours here!!!

It's really hard to capture in a picture. Sometimes it has a glitter to it and other times it's kind of creamy. It's not slippery like 'regular' chrome.

The many wonderful flavors of the McLux PD.... Share yours here!!!

This is probably my favorite, no offense to the Ti tweaks This is the only hard chrome Don made. It's a bit understated compared to some of the flashy cousins, but very attractive in its own way IMO.

Aleph Light Engine Build **UPDATE WITH PROBLEM!!** 9/2/07

Re: Aleph Light Engine Build My experiences agree with the chart, however I still think it's a better idea in a Ti light to go 750ma or lower if you expect to be running the light for any duration of time. I haven't seen it proven, but I suspect the LE would be getting pretty toasty running at...

    HD-45 Question

The converter boards can be the same, but the boards are built directly into the heads of the HD45s and not screwed in on an Aleph Light engine as in the Alephs.

    Aleph parts, odds & ends

Emails would make a lot more work. However I just don't think it's fair for a thread to cause CPF server havoc if there is another way. In terms of Don feeling bad because guys resale his lights at a higher price, I wouldn't agree. A builder of an item cannot speculate on his own product in...

    Aleph parts, odds & ends

I think this is the best idea I've heard so far. It won't strain CPF and creates an incentive for real bids and not snipes. It's more like a best offer that can be accepted at any time past a point.

    Aleph 3 or HD45?

Traditionally an Aleph strength has been not needing to balance output and run time as much because of the two stage resistored tail switches. This also makes the light more versatile since you can use it as a bright and a dim light. Once you go clicky then you give this up. I do use clickies...

Ti McClickie tail cap 4 sale limited run**SOLD**

Re: Ti McClickie tail cap 4 sale limited run All E series tails should fit. I tried one on a NAT maxlite and the shape makes a nice profile so it might look pretty good on a bare light.

    Aleph 3 or HD45?

Well you could get them both:) The A3 is more pocketable. Swapping LEs is great if your really do it with the alephs. Otherwise it creates extra expense and perhaps introduces additonal reliability issues. The HD45 is tougher. It has double O-rings and a lexan window and it doesn't have a...
