You are hungry, it's dark, and you want a snack, which light do you grab?

Of course the Fenix CL25R with the red light on.

*NEW* Fenix CL25R camping light,micro-usb rechargeable, max 350 lumens

I might have bought the CL20 if it had been symmetrical. But since it´s oval in shape I just did not like it at all. The way I use my CL25R, it does not need to shine light upwards or downwards. I use it standing on a table or dangling it from the lanyard at knee hight when walking. As a...

To wear a headlamp or not to wear a headlamp . . . that is the question!

Funny, me too wear a ZL headlamp on my neck when I travel with bus a few hundred kilometres a couple of times per month. Now that it gets dark early in the evenings I feel safer with the lamp around my neck (and not in a bag) ready for use if the bus breaks down or if I sit in the bus toilet and...

New: Fenix HL05, headlamp feeded by 2 CR2032 batteries

Me, personally, see this one as a very good flashlight to attach to my backpck (to the PALS grid) to act as a rearlight when bicycling in the dark.

My budding case of tint snobbery just went into remission!

How about this for tint; I have a green filter for my fenix TK22 and in my oppinion that is a perfect colour of light when walking through the woods. The green light let me better see contours of the ground and a better sence of depth and distans than white light. Also the eye is most sensitive...

What is the oldest flashlight you remember having as a kid?

I am born 1966. One of the first flashlight models I remember using as a child in the early 70´s.

Do you carry a spare cell? If so how?

Not if you live by the rule: "Got to have extra for just incase". I E one is none, two is one, the more the better. And thus we come to the conclusion: We must have waffles! We must all have waffles forthwith!

Do you carry a spare cell? If so how?

I edc spare 18650`s in clear plastic boxes. Two boxes with two batteries in each = 4 x 18650. Plus plastic boxes with AA Eneloops, four Eneloops in two boxes = 8 x AA Eneloop. Keep them in a Pocket Organizer-pouch, in my the pocket of my Fjällräven vest. EDC-lights are Fenix TK22 and Zebralight...

Attach it to a monopod and use it like the light on Gandalfs staff to scare off Orchs and other nasty creatures?

Has there ever been a torch... ?

No, never heard or read about such a thing. Would not be too difficult DIY a make-shift one. Take a monocular and somehow (with zip tie or duct tape?) attach a flashlight on top of it.

Wow, why in the world do you carry a flashlight with you?

You should´ve just turned off your light, let them keep on stumbling in the dark and said: "that´s why."

Zebralight turn on: short click vs 0.6 second click is a failed design

Oh for heavens sake! That is what the instructions are for. You can not expect to understand and know how to operate every new thing without reading instructions.

    Disturbing trend in sales posts

In that case don´t sell if it´s too hard to include facts about the item. It is in the interest of the seller to make it as easy as possible for the buyer to buy, not vice versa.

What's the most unusual/stupidest/weirdest thing you've done with your flashlight?

Re: What's the craziest thing you've done with a flashlight? At one time I made my girlfriend "feel real good" with the back end of a 3D Maglite. Leave the rest to your imagination....

Pak-Lite 9v LED light - what do you think ?

But the Blocklite beam does not seem to shine 360°. At least not judging by the pictures. That´s the beauty of the Paklite. Hang it up in the ceiling and it lights up the room 360°. Other people may have other needs but for me the Paklite is to light up a room in case of a power-out, i e...

Pak-Lite 9v LED light - what do you think ?

This is my set-up. Allows me to hang it anywhere needed. Haven´t used it much but it is allways with me when away from home. Connected to a lithium battery. That way I can be sure to have it function even after several years. Bright enough to light up a room if a black-out should happen. This...
