    123 Battery Shoot Out

Thanks for all your work and sharing your expertise. There is nothing like real-world data to dispense marketing puffery. I appreciate review here and the alkaline battery review. You're not only helping us get the most for our money, you're helping us "vote" with our dollars to support those...

Discussion thread: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring)

Re: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring) I'm still in for my original order of 1 ring, if I'm high enough on the list. Thanks for sticking with this, Koala! :twothumbs

Discussion thread: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring)

Re: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring) Koala, thanks for the quick reply, and no worries about the timeframe. I don't mean to rush anything, I'm just glad the project is moving forward. I don't know that much about light color, and maybe someone here can chime in with advice, but I think white...

Discussion thread: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring)

Re: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring) I'm still in for a ring of something that renders colors in the woods naturalistically--I use my A2 for backpacking in teh woods and inside a tent. Glad things are moving along. Can't wait for a release date!:D

Discussion thread: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring)

Re: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring) Koala, Thanks for the update! LED price is not a deal breaker for me. They cost what they cost, and compared to the price of an A2 they will be cheap. As for color, I want whatever will give natural light. Something I can use in the house at night...

Discussion thread: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring)

Re: A2 dumb LED rings - (Onion Ring) I'm in for one if you can supply LEDs. I'm not picky about which ones--I'm just ignorant about them and need it to be as easy as possible. Thanks for taking on this project!

    Why? Attach light to keys?

I'm somewhat of a minimalist, I keep only two keys and two tools on my keychain: a house key, a car key (but I leave the remote in the car itself--remotes are too big for pockets IMHO), an Atwood Mini Prybaby XL, and a Miller Modded 1.5W/50ma Arc-AAA. I find too many uses for the Prybaby and...

    Which Nyogel for which light?

Thanks for the information. Since my lights are aluminum, I'll try the 760 first. Maybe the 779 will find application in summer heat. Thanks again.

    Which Nyogel for which light?

I'm new to the higher-end lights. I just got some760 & 779. I know one is conducting and one not, but I'm not sure which my different lights require. Could some kindly soul clue me in? Here are the lights: Arc-AAA Surefire A2 P1D-CE Also, is the lube just for the o-rings, or do the...

    Battery Testing Question

Thanks coppertrail. I have a new ZTS tester as well. I'll assume from your response that testing batteries under load will not shorten the shelf life.

    Battery Testing Question

I forgot to mention, I'm talking about CR-123s.

    Battery Testing Question

When is the best time to test primaries? When they first arrive, to see if anything needs to be returned? Or just before using them to make sure they are matched at the time of use. I THINK I remember reading here that by testing batteries under load, you start a reaction and the liklihood...

P1D-CE Thread issues - Natural VS Black

Natural here, threads are nice and tight. There was some crud in them initially and I thought the threads might loosen when I cleaned them out, but all is smooth and tight.

Maha C9000 failure statistics, all users please post

I received my C9000 on 12/28. So far I have performed "Break In" charges on 12 AA Sanyo 2700 batteries and on 8 AAA Sanyo 1000 batteries. So far no problems whatsoever.

Maha MH-C9000, the Wizard One Charger

Thank you both for your advice. This gives me a ballpark discharge rate to consider/use. I got my C9000 today and I feel like a kid in a candy store. I originally wanted to use the Analyze/Refresh function, but couldn't figure out the charging and discharging rates. So instead I started a...

Maha MH-C9000, the Wizard One Charger

Thanks, I think this was the cause of most of my confusion: I mis-read the math. I'll re-read the FAQ and instructions with this in mind. 1.0C is more in line with the upper-bound advice William was giving, I just (wrongly) assumed he was discussing a one-time super charge. I feel confident...
