    McE2s standard guts still available?

    I know most of the tailcaps are not available at the shoppe or elsewhere, but I'm wondering about the standard switch components? Are the standard McE2s switches available (non flat top)? Std rubber boot? Shoppe site has them but then says "1" is too many to order. Thanks MB

    They look a little longer than the old ST which was about the longest of the original set. Just from the picture it looks like it would add another 1/8 to 3/16" to the length of the light. Am I wrong?

    This makes me wonder if there is a way to modify that "cell phone" type button that screws into the McE2s so that a tritium vial could be epoxied into it. Unconventional, but you could then have a tritium vial on any light that could accept one of these. MB

    This has me confus-ED. What is the purpose of this clickie since SF already has one and unlike the McE2s, it doesn't seem to add any value? To wit the McE2s transforms a single stage SF light into something it wasn't. I must be missing something here. ??? MB

    Re: Question about the 2 stage switch.... Yet ANOTHER dumb question!!! Tag, I'd say either 60 or 30. To give you some idea, My 30 ohm on an E1L produces slightly more (and higher qual) light than my RR 2x3aaa.

    Not to mention postage, that's why I bought mine assembled by someone at the SS who got his/her hands dirty. They'll have to write that one off as a cost of doing business. :crazy: MB

    I've got an E1L and a 30 Ohm McE2s on it's way. I'll let you know how this compares to 2 lights I have when it arrives, namely the Gerber Infinity and a Photon 3. I can't wait to find out myself. MB
