Update from Zebralight regarding H501, SC600, and a new switch design.

I don't think they will upgrade H501 soon. The unique flood beam of H501 came from the special designed lens, so a new LED will need a new lens and some initial cost. People will mostly use H501 for near range, I don't think you need a much brighter LED for this purpose. And there is H51f...

    Nitecore D11

Pictures and specifications from Chinese forum http://www.shoudian.com/thread-146903-1-2.html I think it's better looking than D10, have more variations in shape. However, I prefer Zebralight's switch over PD switch now.

Zebralight is going to come out with flashlights! part 2

I think using newest LED means more risk in tint lottery. Many XP-G users reported greenish tint.

Zebralight is going to come out with flashlights! part 2

I have a question: Do we need to remove the clip to put it on the headband? I guess it has to be removed. I used to use a simplified method mentioned in cpf to clip my H501 to a rubber band directly. It may not be as secure as the provided holder, but can be in seconds, otherwise I need to...

Poll added: New D10/EX10 SP replacing old D10/EX10.

Re: New D10 SP and EX10 SP replacing old D10/EX10, or just in addition? The regular D10 UI is just a UI, while smart PD is a mechanism. The current running D10 SP still use smart PD system, so the problem is not about the license. I have same opinion about the regular UI should save the user...

Does the nitecore D10 come with a pocket clip or do i have to buy that extra?

The clip maybe in same size, but the small fixture ring should be different. The size of D20 tail and D10 tail are different. I think I read somewhere in a review thread that, OP tried to put a D20 clip to D10, but found it doesn't match unless you bent the clip or fixture enough.

Does the nitecore D10 come with a pocket clip or do i have to buy that extra?

Should be original Nitecore parts. They are similar with the D20 clip(which is included in package) but with different sizes.

Poll added: New D10/EX10 SP replacing old D10/EX10.

Re: New D10 SP and EX10 SP replacing old D10/EX10, or just in addition? From my understandings, they are saying keep the original UI, not the PD system which is the essence of D10 series. They should know many people like the original UI. So my guess is, they are no longer making D10 regular...

    led for reading

I think the first important feature for a reading light is a even beam. At least use a diffuser for any regular light.

Zebralight is going to come out with flashlights! UPDATES!

No official comment so far. I guess they will want to make it before Xmas... mini AA have many good features except it's a twisty. Simple 1-2 mode twisty is OK, multi mode twisty is too much for me. Besides there is no clip for mini AA.

Is it possible to make a Nitecore EZ series Clip on the camera mount?

Hmm, nothing except the friction. So if it was tighten enough and there is not much force to spin it, it could be OK. I don't know how will it work in real life. There are many clips are just clipped on light, I think they also can be turned, thus scratch the light body?

Is it possible to make a Nitecore EZ series Clip on the camera mount?

OK, just found this has been mentioned in another thread. I tried to search that thread before posting because I knew there was that thread, but didn't find it.

Is it possible to make a Nitecore EZ series Clip on the camera mount?

Just thought about this. If somebody or Nitecore can make a clip which will have a screw to use the camera mount hole in EZ AA/123/CR2, this clip will be secure, easily removable(you may need to put a paper between clip and body when installing/removing it to avoid scratches) . What do you think?

Zebralight is going to come out with flashlights! UPDATES!

Hmm, I didn't realized the limit of AA on cold weather... That being said, using Li-Ions will bring more trouble than benefit in my cases: 1. the AW charger at 4sevens cost $18.5. There is a WF 139 charger in DX cost less, but people said it is a fake ultrafire... 2. AW 14500 cost $12 at...

Advice for a new AA light for outdoor and hiking

The new Zebralight headlamp will have reflectors instead of lens, and the H501 will not be replaced soon. If you want a even beam, H501/H50b is still you only choice in near future.

Zebralight is going to come out with flashlights! UPDATES!

I think Zebralight want to make sure the light will not generate too much heat too, the H60 will turn off turbo mode after 10 mins. If H501 get Li-ion performance, it probably will get much more heat than now. So if it will be a 10 min turbo, I think it's not so important to me. Of course it's...

With a reflector, H51 will not have a flood beam like H50/H501.
