Looking for a light for SAR operations

Eagle tac SX25L2 is worth a look.... Similar in form to a mag 2d but lights up a whole field...not a complicated UI... Charges in torch... Lasts hours on high.. Nice weight for a bag carry... Button easy to use with gloves, waterproof and has worked for me for past year as police in use. Most...

POLL - Zebralight H600 Mk II - Which version do you prefer?

I have the H600FW... Went through all the permutations of more throw if not frosted, can add scotch tape, etc.. But glad I just went for the frosted lens...it's a lovely smooth wall of light, it lights up a huge area compared with a normal petal style AA battery style lamp ... The neutral tint...

Zebralight H600 MK II (Spot and Fill) vs H600F (Floody) vs H602 (no reflector) beams

Re: Zebralight H600 MK II (Spot and Fill) vs H600F (Floody) vs H602 (no reflector... Was going to get the ArmyTech version...then found this thread...I already have a H31 which is on my tac vest at work for hands free stops...but the run time is very limited at useful light levels... I am now...

Has anyone else pimped their Worlds smallest Li-ion charger with display?

So got my replacement High Current Charger from CottonPickers....as I has accidently plugged in the charge leads in reverse and fried mine..... So I decided to put a red sticker on the positive side (as once bitten = do it again)....then found some reflexite lying around...:sssh...

Which torch to use for night time nature watching?

For some reason never had a Fenix but everyone seems to love em...think the TK22 is the newer version? For similar money I think it is underpowered compared to say a Eagletac T25C2 XM-L2 LED 1180 lumen ....easy UI as twisty head..and can get it in a neutral white tint..but a M said you will...

Surefire Vs Nitecore and Helmet Recommendation

Ok so,you said Surefire or the Nitecore..... But seriously have a look at a Zebralight H600fw II. I just spent weeks deliberating and picked one up and it is great ....nice lumen levels, and on the medium and low modes will last over 24 hours, nice neutral White gives nice colours which many...

Which torch to use for night time nature watching?

+1 - Led Lenser are good versus normal torches....but not that great compared to many of the competition. I am UK based too....Really you need to decide do you want to go Li-Ion in which case factor in £10 per battery (18650) and £20 for a charger (they need a specific charger they do not...

Looking for a diving light with high lumen, medium size.

My understanding is the IPX is a minimum standard...the 8 being the highest for waterproof submersion standard - greater than 1m for a duration specified by the manufacturer. So it depends what they measure and rate to....I saw Nitecore have tried it out with the SRT 6&7 but not sure if the...

Why are both 365nm and 390nm LEDs used in a UV torch?

Led torches definitely get hot....the TK gets warm quicker than my other lights...I think it is because it is not quite as solid so the amount of metal available to dissipate the heat is less...but as I said it's not uncomfortable after 10-20 mins...but is noticeable. I would recommend it as a...

Looking for a diving light with high lumen, medium size.

Kayaking, Bicycling, and hiking, which lights serve these three best?

I love my Nitecore SRT5... 18650.... 2 metres submersible for minimum 30 mins. 750 lumens for 1hr45 mins. Nice beam profile...a nice floody throw....lights up a useable 60-70 metres in a large area. Easy to use UI as has a twist selector ring. Can do a flashing beacon for your bike and SOS if...

Looking for a diving light with high lumen, medium size.

Sorry you're not having much luck....maybe a bit throwy and not got the lumen count but while researching the SRT5 I noted the Nitecore SRT7 is recommended for diving down to at least 40m (they took one to 100). It is 18650.... And with the smart ring you can change the output and even go into...

Why are both 365nm and 390nm LEDs used in a UV torch?

I have the TK566 and am pleased with it...lights up a small room if ambient is low and picks out stains...also very good at checking UV on banknotes... Gets warm at the head compared to a decent normal led torch but not been an issue as it is not on for extended periods... ;)

Bike tail light for city use

I highly recommend Exposure Lights - their Flare rear is about 75 lumens on a RCR123. They also do a great helmet light called a Joystick (front) which you can use to power a helmet mounted flare style light...attached to the back of your helmet There are a couple of versions...one is non...

    Nitecore (P12 & SRT5) vs Fenix PD35 & Others

I can say the SRT5 is a good choice...the rotary ring makes mode change simple. It will run on high for your 2 hours, lights up brightly over 100yds not a complete thrower but throws out lots of lumens so lights up a large chunk of field...goes nice and dim for a moonlight style which you can...

    Faulty Eagletac SX25L2 XM-L2 ??? Help please.....

Replacement arrived...quick check and the modes and torch function as expected...now got to say goodbye to it for a month as the Missus has stolen it for a birthday present... But the first sample was definitely suspect and never did work out why. Again a note of praise to GoingGear for the...

Power supply help....do amps matter? Eagletac SX25L2...

Thanks for the replies guys....that is how I understood it but did not want to cook my new toy when it arrives....the first one had to be sent back for another issue as defective out the box....I was worried I would end up with a working replacement that I then damage...thanks again ;)
