    Ra Clicky Part 9

Mine also went out yesterday to my Ra dealer. Unfortunatly he doesn't have anymore 140CGT in stock so he'll have to send it back to Henry for a replacement or repaires. Might be a while 'til I get mine back. :(

    Ra Clicky Part 9

My update - Took the 140CGT out of the drawer today to check the battery problem and it wouldn't switch on. :scowl: It had a fresh cell in it when I stored it away and now the light has finished its second cell. Looks like it'll be going back to the dealer. Hope they replace it for another one...

    Ra Clicky Part 9

Oh dear. :( Please let me know of your findings the next time you check it again. I've also stored mine away for a week or so to check if it's still happening.

    Ra Clicky Part 9

I have an issue with my Ra Clicky 140CGT SN-5791. It seems to be draining its battery while switched off. I'll start from the beginning... I bought my Ra Clicky a couple of weeks ago and stored it away on its throne in the drawer. A few days ago I took it out to fondle it a little...

Charging new batteries for the first time.

Any advice on charging brand new batteries please? I put one in a Novatac and it seems to have a bit of power in it but I don't know how much as I have nothing to test them with. Should I drain the new battery first before its first charge or should I just charge them regardless of how much...

The best, smallest single CR123 light.

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I will be researching! :candle: Can the EX10 or EZ123 damage a protected RCR123 battery by over-draining it as both of the lights don't have the "battery protection" feature like the Novatac? Or can the battery be trusted enough to switch itself off...

The best, smallest single CR123 light.

Do the EZ and EX have "auto shut-off" like the Novatacs to stop a RCR123A battery from over draining?

The best, smallest single CR123 light.

    The best?...Surely not? :sigh:

The best, smallest single CR123 light.

I like the size of the EZ123 but I'd prefer a clicky and one which takes RCRs. I'm thinking of the Liteflux LF3XT... The ideal result would be a light the size of the EZ123 but with the functionality of the LF3XT. Any other suggestions or should I hold and wait to see what comes out onto the...

The best, smallest single CR123 light.

This has probably been asked many times before but what is regarded as the best, smallest, single CR123 light available when there's no budget involved? The Titan maybe? Or something even smaller? (still have alot to learn). :candle: GD

    Ra Clicky button issue

Anyone notice the Clickys' button becomes fat and bulges outwards from pressure building up inside when the waterproof case is screwed back on? It's happened on both of my flat buttoned Ra's and in turn has made the clicky feeling less positive. Anyone else notice this and if so, will it...

    My new torches.

Quick question please gentlemen. Is it fine to use rechargeables with the Surefire E1B Backup? If so, will I need to be careful of running the batteries down too low? Thanks.

New Nitecore EZ CR123 and CR2 lights

Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I've decided to keep the EX10. I think it's a cooler light than the EZ and as Kwkarth mentioned that regular maintenance and upkeep of the EX should keep it running smoothly, that's exactly what I'll be doing. GD

New Nitecore EZ CR123 and CR2 lights

Thanks alot for the info guys. Does anyone know if the EZ123 can take rechargeables? And if so, would 3.7v cells be fine? Thanks again.

New Nitecore EZ CR123 and CR2 lights

I recently picked up an EX10 but since have been thinking about exchanging it for a EZ123 but can't decide on whether to keep the EX10 for its programmability or the EZ123s' simplicity and reliability. Does the EX10s' "Piston Drive" have any reliability issues? I quite like the programmability...

    My new torches.

I like the EX10 too. It was holding its own against the Novatac last night in the back garden. Has a very bright, narrow beam for its size which I like very much. I'm not so sure about the Fenix P1D though. Great size but... It has five output levels but the primary (95 lumens) and the high...

    My new torches.

    I bought some single 123 cell lights. - Fenix P1D - Nitecore EX10 - Novatac 120E (a good one apparently. 21XXX) - A couple of Ra Clickys (140CGT and 140CN) - ThruNite TiKey I'm feeling  now...
