    damnit, in my attempt to fix a cold joint under the switch, my crappy soldering iron melted the plastic housing of the switch and now it doesn't do on/off. so it's basically a twist on/off now and i can change the modes with the switch if i don't put too much pressure on it, which isn't so bad...
