I meant LiFePO4 when I wrote that bit about venting/exploding. Kind of like how some prefer E2 Lithium for same reason. I don't think I ever said anything about savings... Quite frankly, I keep a supply of primaries sitting around -- but I'm saving those for power blackouts/emergencies, when...

Where to order a Deree DBS from?

I believe they are based out of Hong Kong. The website is worldwide direct sales. Concensus seems to be that the digital pills are driven harder and provide more output/throw. See Dereelight's thread over in the MarketPlace forum for more info and discussion.

My new E2DL running fine on 3.0 LiFePO4 RCR123s. There are plenty of other reasons for going the rechargeable route over primaries: 1. "greener" 2. save primaries for emergencies (when you really need them) 3. no chance of venting/exploding 123s

Duracell Truebeam - Where can I find more info?

I couldn't help myself buying one to try out (2xAA version). Can't remember if the lens had any type of optics to it, but I was underwhelmed by the lack of much difference between the flood and spot settings. Also, I saw quite a bit of beam artifacts in the spill, which drives me nuts. But...

What's the big deal with tail standing?

:lolsign: During the last big blackout, I had at least 3 lights tailstanding in the kitchen, then had to whip out my EDC cuz it still wasn't bright enough.

What is your everyday carry light?

L0D-Rebel on weekdays during work -- anything bigger is a bit too bulky in my pockets while at the office. P2D-Rebel 100 on weekends and around the house. (Yay, my first post!)
