    Someone please educate me

I imagine the same reason why any other heavy duty light has "low" lumens... durability. you can run your LEDs at 200% for 10 seconds on turbo all you want, but it will just regulate back to the same output as the other lights, there is no magic here. A "2000" lumen flashlight will have the same...

    Using Up CR123 Batteries

I usually use my TinyNugget for that purpose. Runs an amazing amount of time on low after the battery has run out of it's main juice. I usually get another tens of hours of light that way. I run my Malkoff M61 in an MD2 body with 2xCR123, and it drops out of regulation at around 2.69V per cell...

    Alpha problem / battery sensitive??

can we just appreciate the fact that they couldn't work out the battery length in a $500 flashlight, so it does not make contact in a $330 flashlight because they skimped out on a .25 dollar piece of spring? Love it.

[REVIEW] Bug-A-Salt 3.0 bugasalt salt gun review

a quality one should work all the same. liquid comes out, liquid evaporates immediately, surface gets frozen. jesus christ that's way too expensive, check your local autoparts dealer, autodoc, or birner or something the like, it costs 4-5 euros here

it's 50 EUR, so not that bad I'd say. also if you want chemical free bug killing substance, use freezer spray. I use automotive freezing spray, it's said to cool thing to -50 °C. it kills basically anything that breathes, and leaves nothing behind. well maybe a frozen spot where you used it, and...

    Disappointing trend in LED manufacturing

CFL feels like a dead branch of the light evolution, I for one am glad it's basically almost completely gone. I remember the first "economic" CFLs that took literal minutes to come to an acceptable brightness, on power on it was just a dim glow. I hated it. Also the color rendering on those is...
