    If only to take advantage of the (relatively) high current delivery of cells such as the P42A/30T/40T3/et al. But going over that post in Porch with the melted TIR doesn't inspire much confidence in heat dissipation pushing 6A and above. A hotter HOT may need a Pyrex (or similar) lens.

    Really depends on what they are willing to settle with in terms of amp draw. We see Convoy pushing 1x21700 to 8A, but don't expect Malkoff to push it that high with the Keeppower 50E. Definitely curious what they plan on doing given the 21700 power ceiling...

    You can run 2x123 in the 21700. I would not have posted that comment had I not tried across both tubes ;) A sleeve is not mandatory in a pinch. I am sure someone else with a 21700 will chime in...

    Ease of actuation (versus the standard 18650) is due to 1) the (slightly) increased width of the 21700 tailcap i.e. greater surface area to make contact with and the 2) tailcap edge which does indeed bevel in towards the button. The grip notches are clearly meant to ease threading/unthreading.
