    Automotive Best H7's for 2015 Merc ML350

I can't stand the 6500K of LED's. I would not use anything higher than 4300K which is what factory HID's are so might as well just get the factory HID system.

No, installed 6500K HID or LED retrofits.

    Automotive Best H7's for 2015 Merc ML350

Haha, NO! Just got blinded by someone who did that on another Benz the other day. Every time they'd go over a bump the cut off would flash up in my eyes. Got to have the auto leveling of a factory HID system.

What’s your all time favorite flashlight?

I bought it before MagLite offered a factory rechargeable one. I'm using LiFePo4's in it.

What’s your all time favorite flashlight?

My daily carry is my MagTac. It's tough and I use rechargeable CR123a's in it.

Where is @-Virgil- and @Alaric Darconville ? They have not been seen in over a month judging from post history.

    Automotive Best H7's for 2015 Merc ML350

What would be the best H7's (low and high) for a 2015 Mercedes ML350? I know the proper thing to do would be to obtain the factory HID upgrade... ;-P I was thinking Philips NightGuide Platinum in the lows highs and Philips VisionPlus in the highs lows...

Automotive Toyota switch from LED vs. incandescent

Must be COVID... I never said incandescent. Just a readily available "bulb" of some sorts. If vehicle manufactures could come up with some kind of standardized LED modules that the end user can replace themselves and the parts stores can stock on the shelf it would solve the problem. Just in...

Automotive Toyota switch from LED vs. incandescent

I dislike factory LED turn signals/brake lights because when one goes out you'll wind up with ten tickets by the time you can get it replaced since it will have to be special ordered from the dealer or somewhere online then is probably out of stock due to the current state of the world. I'd...

Automotive GM loses bid to skip recall for lights that are too bright

DETROIT -- General Motors has lost a bid to avoid recalling about 727,000 small SUVs in the U.S. with headlight beams that can be too bright and cause glare for oncoming drivers. In 2019, the Detroit automaker petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asking to avoid a...

Automotive 130w bulbs for aux lights

From what I can see here they have WAY more spot to them than my factory high beams which are basically useless flood lights. (3rd gen Explorer). If I were to get them, my question is should I use the 100W that comes with them (probably a brand-less made in china so that'd be a no) or use Hella...

The fixtures I'd be using are designed for 100W H3's. They come with them. So the increase would be 100 to 130 not 55 to 130. The lens is tempered glass and the reflector is metal. and of course I'd be installing a relay.

    Automotive Best 9003 bulbs?

All retail cares about is their bottom line these days and 6500K china specials are very cheap compared to everything else. I keep telling him to upgrade them to factory HID by pulling the HID system from a salvage yard.

Automotive 130w bulbs for aux lights

According to the chart on Stern's site the 130W H3's are significantly brighter than the 100W H3's.

Automotive 130w bulbs for aux lights

I've been considering adding 2-4 auxiliary lights which will have to be 100W-130W halogens because every LED bar I've seen on the market is hideous 6500K crap. I could go 4300K HID on the auxiliaries but I don't want a warm up wait on auxiliaries.

    Automotive Best 9003 bulbs?

Unfortunately, nearly every time I've seen retail upgrade to LED it's horrid 6500K. VisionPlus is better than OEM and OEM is supposed to be considered "safe" AKA meeting minimum standards. What would be a better choice that still has decent life? Both myself and a friend both have 9003...
