    Flashaholic Getogether in Singapore!

Hey guys! I've a favour to ask of those who has small torchlights. I'm looking for close to 10 plus units of small lights that have a output of 100 lumens or below for lighting the interior of a car for a school project. The would need to be of NON-LED (meaning Tungsten) nature and running...

Where did all the oldtimers go.

So many different types of light are available now whereas they have to be custom made in the past. I've settled down on my fav few "cheap but good" lights and tried really hard to be contended with what I have. :-)

I merely looked for specs of his camera. Smaller sensors need wider angle lens since they have a small FOV which would result in a "zoom" effect. The camera he uses doesn't have zoom (fixed focal length) and therefore it's pretty easy to conclude that it's just 36mm that the website I linked...

You took that with an Olympus C830L / D340R 1.3 Megapixel Digicam using Macro Mode. The camera decided on a exposure setting of f11, 1/30s, ISO 100. Therefore the camera must have been pretty close to the wall since compact digicams don't have that kind of flash power for that exposure. Also the...

Calling CPF'ers in Singapore... Part 3

Flea Bag, I've been "Storing" those batteries for at least 1 year. The normal shelf life of Lithiums are around 10 years. So your guess should be correct. I'll be going overseas in December from 18th I think. Trip is still unconfirmed. Flashlight, Don't worry. There will be some. Hope to break...

Calling CPF'ers in Singapore... Part 3

Guys, I've a lot of 123s which I can offer at a basement bargain price of $1.50. They are split from Duracell CR223s and I used their original plastic on the 223 as insulation. Otherwise they are just bare cells. If you'll look over here I did sell them for higher prices in the past. But I got...

Recommend me a good work digicam

How does a Olympus Camedia C-60 Zoom look to you? 4cm macro. $499 RRP, $284.90 street price. Quoting from Imaging Resources Closeups: Average performance in normal macro mode, but very good results in Super mode. Flash throttles down quite well also. The C-60 performed about average in the...

KevinL, Nice to meet meet you too! I enjoyed seeing your 3xLux3 Mag3C and your ROP. Others than the Mag switch, I think the next thing you can do to improve it would be a diffuser of some sort to smooth up the beam even more. Luxbright, Thanks for inviting me along to this get-together. I...

    Flashaholic Getogether in Singapore!

There *is* a place in Jurong West which is pretty dark and is rather flat and spacious for those who have long throw monsters and wants to meet in Jurong West. I'll take some time to reach there on foot so if anyone has a vehicle, it would be helpful. Luxbright suggested here The place I'm...
