Flashlight with very low brightness modes?

I've had a light with a moonlight mode, one of these 0.2L deals and I constantly switched to the next low mode, which was probably 10-15 lumens. It was so totally dim as to be useless just about 99% of the time. Through trial and error, I figured out that the best low mode for me is 5 lumens...

Zoomie is the most fun you can have for a few bucks

This is one of the cheapest lights you can get, in fact it cost me nothing - it was included in the package I got from a battery place. It zooms from a total, huge flood to this bizarre tight square. I keep reaching for this light more and more versus my more sophisticated Malkoffs. I get it...

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

These are 123 lights, I am looking for a 1xAA

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

It's not for EDC, it's a backup to a backup, multiple layers of redundancy. My main lights are 18650-based but I also wanted to make sure I got AA and AAA bases covered. I do have the FiveMega 3xAA body which is nice and in a pinch can use an extension to turn any of my 2x18650 into 3x18650...

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

I forgot about that option. I did test drive a M61LLL in a 2xAA and 3xAA configuration and got long and even longer runtimes. At this time I run M61LLL in a 3xAAA config and want to run M61 in the 2xAA config. It does seem pretty close to 1 lumen if I am not mistaken. You can probably cancel...

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

Changed my mind. I should instead focus on a 2xAA light as being more efficient. With everything else staying the same. Ideally a head that takes either 2xAA or a 1x123. Possible? Moonlight of around 1 to 1.5 lumens. Not a fraction of a lumen.

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

Interesting strategy I think I am going to go with JetBeam

Does Jetbeam PA12 offer a different interface? Memory? Lumens in lowest mode? Which mode comes on first?

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

I am going to rule out the MDC for the price reasons, I need a quasy-cheap backup device, I have a dozen "real" Malkoff lights.

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

which one do you refer to here? Jetbeam or Elzetta or both of them? I want the light to come on low, unconditionally. Although, I am thinking maybe they interface they use is superior to that, can't decide.

    JETBEAM JET-PA12

I prefer mine to come on lowest. Does it do that? I don't want mode memory.

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

what's the difference between Elzetta G-EDC-A and JetBeam 1MK? The specs seem to be about the same. Jetbeam is a bit cheaper, what do I get with Elzetta G-line?

Do they have memory? I want it to always start in lowest mode.

which battery does it use? The web site does not list. https://www.armytek.com/flashlights/models/prime/armytek-prime-a2-xp-l/

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

My specs were AA. Triple-A is just a side dish. I think I am OK with the solitaire on that front, though it's cheap junk. After cleaning all the threads, reinstalling the tailspring, it seems to work but that the 47 lumen model has a relatively short runtime. I've tried to stay away from...

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

I've had the M361, the triple-mode that worked based on the same principle. I could deal with an AA-based Malkoff that does the same. 0.3 lumens should last forever plus a day. I don't have an AA-based battery vampire. Except my Malkoff M61LLL mated with the FiveMega 3xAA body (remember...

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

Not really. Elzetta EDC AA seems to have it all, except it has more modes than I care but would not hurt. The AAA one is outside of my parameters but I thought it would be a neat addition as I am AAA-light poor. Only have the Solitaire. Elzetta EDC AA

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

I can't believe I overlooked this one. It basically fits all the requirements except for the price, but it is a Malkoff.

1 lumen single mode 1xAA with great tint

Also open to an idea of a 2xAA single mode light but who has one just that's just 1-2 lumens? I get it, it's a custom job.
