    Introducing "Draco" - - - PART 2

Look what my Draco got: Yes, that is a white tritium. IMO it is much better looking than the colored ones. I have promised so send some to Modamag so other people get the chance to get it on their Draco/Drake as well. How many of you would be interested in this? Sigbjoern

    Introducing "Draco" - - - PART 2

I just noticed that those Energizer AAA lithiums packs a lot more watt hours than a 10440 Li-Ion, have you looked into making a light engine for those batteries? The high would of course not be able to be as high as with the Li-Ion, but the runtime should be excellent. I also like that I can...

I'm not sure this is it, but if you turn it from Low to the Nothing mode and keep it there for >3 seconds then it will turn on High while it is in Nothing mode. This let you turn from Low to High with less twists. You cannot do this on V1, which also would be pointless since it always defaults...

I also find it to work better without the extender. I don't have a micrometer and my caliper is of the really cheap kind, my measurements were 11.8 mm for the battery tube and 11.7 mm for the extender. If our measurements are correct then that probably explains it. Sigbjoern

    Introducing "Draco" - - - PART 2

Morelite, how far do you turn it when you turn it off? I don't have much experience with it yet, but I think the optimum is to turn it a quarter round when turning it off. You then don't risk accidental activatian when applying pressure to the head, while you still have a quarter turn left...

    Introducing "Draco" - - - PART 2

Icebreak, that is the exact same reason why I also prefer the V2 interface. When it comes to separating the head and the LE, it was easy on my Luxeon version, but I'm unable to do it on the Cree versions, maybe I didn't turn hard enough but I'm afraid to apply to much power. Sigbjoern

The titanium Dracos use v2 FluPIC instead of v1, and the last used mode is now remembered. A great improvement IMO. Sigbjoern

    Neoca 18650 - 2008 Renderings

Re: Neoca 18650 - 1st renderings Well, simple is not always the best, and for me function comes before looks, so this will not be a light for me. Hower, I very much like the concept of the light. As already mentioned by someone else, I think there is room for improvement when it comes to the...

So does this mean you will offer other upgrades to Draco when the technology has evolved further? Somthing that might work with the turbohead? Sigbjoern

A diamond that shall remain in the rough

I can guarantee you that you will not think a Ti light is cheap and plastic like. Btw, Ti lights are heavier than Aluminium lights, I wish it was the other way around. Sigbjoern

Project-M by Milkyspit: Long-Running High Output LED: Availability, Info, Photos

Nice looking! Looking at the runtime chart I got quite surprised to see how well the 2 x 750 mAh 14500 setup did, it has less rated energy than a single 18650 cell but runs longer, I thought it was because of converter efficency, but when comparing to the 2 x 18650 setup it still performs much...

Re: The Pineapple, a 2x123 E series compatible body. Was it two metal parts? I have a very simple solution that will only require a small plastic part, but I don't have time to draw it now. The plastic part will be located above the battery inside the tube so the battery gets push away from the...

Re: The Pineapple, a 2x123 E series compatible body. I thought the battery would be located much lower compared to the O-ring? Looking at my L2 (I don't have a L4 to check on) the contact point on the head is located in a position that to me looks to be at the lower region of the O-ring. So...
