    Beta QRV2 horrible twist action.

I’ve had a few copper betas and the most recent one required the most force to twist. I replaced the o-ring with an extra from a maratac aaa and it’s way better. I think they switched the o-ring somewhere along the way and it’s a bit too big. Just a guess.

Begs the question why pre-production specs are listed at all then. Hard to believe there was no time for any person working there to simply turn a light on and let it run for two hours. There is too much competition at this price point to just shrug at the fact people got 20% of what was...

Agreed. Can't imagine putting all of this "info" online without a single real world test, and then selling hundreds of lights.

This light has a lot going for it, but I would not have bought it knowing these runtimes. I'll probably send mine back as well. bummer

My multimeter read .9 on an eneloop pro 1.2v 900mAh, after the light died.

I totally get that these are pre-production, I'm just saying it would have taken 2 hours to spot this before putting up numbers and selling it. Doing an actual run test is a no-brainer.

How were the specs even tested? Seems crazy to advertise specs and release a light without doing a simple run test first, prototype or not.

4 hours 30 minutes on medium, and the copper Beta is still going! Never got above room temp either. Same Eneloop Pro as tested with the Preon. *EDIT Copper Beta died at 4 hours, 45 minutes on medium. Never flickered, just slowly dimmed.

Ok, with a fresh eneloop pro: Preon (in medium) started flashing at 1 hour 50 minutes, died completely at exactly 2 hours. Copper Beta (in medium) 3 hours 40 minutes in and still going.
