Good mods to perform on a Surefire 9P and Surefire M3?

With 17670 and 3,7V-13V 130 lumens, output is not regulated, but you have more runtime (8 hours with 18650, maybe 6 hours with 17670). Output is diminishing over time. I've tested the 3,7V-13V 130 lumens with 2x R123's and 3x R123's, it's OK. Output is regulated from ~4,8V with this dropin...

    HO-9 High Output 9V Lamp - 320 Lumen in SF 6P

    With 2x 18500's in Wolf-Eyes 9AX, I have noticed more power from the HO-9 compared to Surefire M2 + 2x AW high current RCR123's. HO-9 runtime tested : - with 2x AW RCR123 : 22 minutes - with 2x 18500 Wolf-Eyes 1400mAH : 40 minutes

    HO-9 High Output 9V Lamp - 320 Lumen in SF 6P

Right. I've tested runtime with HO-9 + AW RCR123s. 22 minutes before noticiable dimming. 35-40 minutes runtime is correct with 18500's.

    Cracked my last Raider Bezel....

If W-E could provide landyard rings like Surefire, it will be a good thing. We could attach a landyard, and avoid the accidental dropping. Or W-E could provide bezel with better glass quality, maybe Tempered glass or Pyrex glass, don't sure however. I own myself D2AX Defender and 9AX Raider...

    Wolf-Eyes D2AX

The D2AX switch looks like the 9AX swith.

    Wolf-Eyes D2AX

You are right. Tailcap and bezel are different. Body is the same (Sniper body). As the body is the same, I think you can swap the bezel of the D2AX to 6A classic bezel (sold separately @ PTS-Mike for $12.95), if you prefer the 6AX bezel over the crenelated bezel.

    Wolf-Eyes D2AX

D2AX and 6AX are the same. Only the bezel is different. 18650 fits. I use protected 18650 from AW in my D2AX.

    EO-6 in Surefire G2?

With HO-4 and 17670 (or 169B), no problem ! You can even use the EO-4 lamp with 17670.

    EO-6 in Surefire G2?

P91 draws too much current (~2,5A) to work safely with 2x17500 cells. It's better to buy A19 extender and 2x17670 cells. Size will a little longer off course. 18500 cells (1400-1500mAh, depends on manufacturer) will work with P91, but unfortunately Surefire bodies don't accept 18,5mm cells...

    Wolf-Eyes 9AX bulb : current draw ?

You have the new module (3,7V-13V) or the old (3,7V-6V) ? PTS Mike says soon he'll receive new modules : - Cree 700mA or 1000mA for D26 - Cree 1000mA+ for D36. Voltage range for both : 3,7V-13V. I'm wainting these new drop-in, hoping regulation will be excellent.

    Wolf-Eyes 9AX bulb : current draw ?

Thanks guys for explanations. I've putted the HO-9 in my 9AX. It's true I see a difference in brightness when use with 2x 18500 compared with 2x RCR123. Much bright and whiter too. The standard 200 lumens W-E LA is installed in Surefire M2 with 2x RCR123's. Safer for the cells, because...

    Wolf-Eyes 9AX bulb : current draw ?

Does someone know the current draw for the standard 200 lumens lamp assembly delivered with the Wolf-Eyes 9AX ? I want to compare the current draw with the HO-9, wich seems to be more powerful visually (1,55A).

    EO-6 in Surefire G2?

Heat will be maybe a problem in the G2. It's better to send a mail @ Lumens Factory and ask the question. For compatibility with Surefire, I have used the EO-4 (current draw 2,35A @ 3,7V) in my Surefire M2 + 17670 with no problem. Same thing with my HO-9 + M2 + 2x AW RCR123 750mAh. No problem...

    EO-6 in Surefire G2?

I had the EO-4 (3,7V 190 lumens). I say "I had" because last night @ work my bulb blew up. Premature dead after only 1 hour use. I've sent a mail to lumens factory and they will ship another lamp assembly. Great service ! The beam of the EO-4 is a thrower, but you have also sidespill. I like...

    EO-6 in Surefire G2?

I've read in some posts that bulb lumens is 2/3 of torch lumens. Thus, real output about ~133 lumens with EO-6. Let say 120 lumens. Not bad. But you must think about heat. G2 is plastic lens (polycarbonate or Lexan ?), and you have the risk of melting the lens. Cree/Seoul and generally...

    SF M3 + MN11 + 2x17500, what runtime?

You can always but an DETONATOR extender for Surefire @Lighthound : http://www.lighthound.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1102 You keep the CombatGrip function, but it does the flashlight a little bigger, but very "sexy" ! Look at this post ...

    Lumens Factory E series bulbs

For better brightness with only little less runtime, it's better to buy the HO-E1R (50 lumens), and runtime is about ~45 minutes with a RCR123 3,7V and ~100 minutes with 17670 cell. Some people says that this 3,7V 50 lumens is much bright than the 3V 40 lumens. Do a search in the forum about...

    SF M3 + MN11 + 2x17500, what runtime?

I think 2x17500 cells will be a little weak, or just OK for continuous use with the 225 lumens LA. Current draw from MN11 must be ~2.2A minimum, and the 1100mAh cells can draw only 2.2A safely. If the Surefire flashlights could accept 18500 cells (1500mAH but thicker), no problem for the...

    9P or E2E?

Very interesting project. I'll keep an eye for that. It would be good that the drop-in have a flat regulation (constant current). Very important point to me.
