This looks very interesting for a small aaa size light. Is the specs correct in that it has efficiency of 160L/watt? I know it cannot be driven with that much power but should give great efficiency at lower more general output levels. -
How much better is the new Rebel ES than the Rebel 100?
The Rebel ES is rated at a typical voltage of 3V @ 350ma also. It sounds like a nice LED. -

They are not both rated at 100lm/W, only the new ES is. Supposedly this is the first time a manufacturer is rating their LED's at lumens per watt. Most LED''s rate an output in lumens at the 350ma drive level and do not state the forward voltage for this rating (output is voltage time current)... -

This will definately be a reason for me to buy a new light - even if it is the exact same model of my favorite. Nichia GS LED source
I bought some of those on clearance just for the GS LED. I think they were somewhere around $2.50. I modified two older UK 2AAA light with them and they are now useful. -
