    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2021

Finally having to change out my early 2011 Eneloops in my electric blinds. Instead of lasting 6-9 months, they are lasting about a month.

How to test the capacity of your cell phone battery

Google "Chargie A", Gold edition for android. It's a combination of hardware (looks like a USB drive) and software charge limiting system. Very versatile. I've used them the a year with no issues. Set a primary charge percentage limit and a secondary charge percentage limit. When you plug...

Fantastic Small Programmable Electronic Load and Battery Discharger

My goal is to discharge the pack to storage Voltage. Storing cells at storage Voltage when you're not going to use them greatly reduces cell deterioration and increases their life in charge/discharge cycles and time.

Fantastic Small Programmable Electronic Load and Battery Discharger

I just had my ebike batteries, LiFeP04 16S/12Ah each, upgraded to LiIon 14S/22.4 Ah each or about 1,800 usable Watt Hours. With my style of always peddling with a medium load on my legs, I can get about 125 miles on a charge using both batteries in Parallel. I frequently ride from 35 to 50...

    Battery Storage and Ventilation.

For the ultimate in safety, use a Batt Safe charging box for storage. It will contain large Lipo battery flames (vents the smoke and heat). I wouldn't use a sealed container. If a cell or multiple cells goes off, you could end up with flying shrapnel. https://www.bat-safe.com/ Be sure to...

    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

I use 1.0 Amp for AA and .5 Amp for AAA. Low rates can sometimes cause a missed termination.

Chargie A-Finally A USB Charge Controller With Phone Programmable Charging Parameters

A simple in-line USB A charge controller. Set the parameters you want in the Android (and Apple in the near future) phone ap and then put in-line of the device you want to charge. I've heard that the standard charge Voltage termination is 4.35 on my Galaxy S10. With no Chargie device but with...

Question on 'Portable Power Stations' - solar chargeable

Remember to minus off 20% of rated capacity as you will not want to go below 80% of Depth of Discharge, so the 240 Watt Hours is really 192. Based on the 14.4 Volt system they cite, it's most likely a 4 in-Series LiFeP04 chemistry battery, which, in my opinion is the best of the Lithium...

    21700 protected charger

WOW! That seems like a very long 21700. It's basically a 75mm cell. Doesn't seem reasonable that a protection board would add around 5mm or almost 1/4" inch. Maybe try to get someone who's selling the light you want to measure the actual battery.

    21700 protected charger

The SKYRC 3000 has all the features you ask for and more. My 21700 unprotected cell is about 2.762" long measured with digital calipers. When I pull back the movable charger contact to maximum, there is about .020-.025" clearance to get a slightly longer battery in. So if your protected...

    Leaking Eneloops

I've posted this before but will again. I bought 156 AA Eneloops in the latter part of 2010 for electric blinds. All are still performing well. Not a single failure.

    Battery Eliminator For Atomic Clock

The Lynx Arc solution would provide power during power outages too vs the wall wart solution.

    SkyRC — IFA 2014 — MC3000 charger-analyzer

Re: Low voltage LiIon cells ".....there seems no harm..... Until after your first experience with a Vent With Flame incident. Then, you might have a different thought process. Maybe there was some specific Engineering of the software that took place in the 3000 to prevent Vent With Flame...

New XTAR VC2S Not Giving Full 4.2V Charge

My Powerlab dual 8, if set to terminate at 4.2 per cell, always charges to 4.206 per cell before termination. Cells usually settle to between 4.2 and 4.18.

    Short Arc Electronics Capacitor question/Help

Timing is everything. Just this afternoon before reading your responses, I had received all the caps I ordered to match what is installed. I vacillated for a week on whether I would change them out or not. Had I read your responses, I probably would not have begun the replacement process for...

    Short Arc Electronics Capacitor question/Help

It looks like I will get a couple of new lamps in the near future for my two ORC X-500-14 Gunfire Simulators. In the mean time, I am proactively replacing all the power diodes, encased resistors and a bunch of ceramic disk capacitors - items that can fail just sitting over time. My question...

    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2021

Re: Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2019 For most of those years, I used a combo of 2 Maha C9000's and 1 Maha 808. The 808 died so replaced it with the 8000 and it died so got another 808. Now I'm using 4 C9000's and the 808 to charge two "units" at one time - 24 cells. I charge all at...

    Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2021

Re: Overview: All eneloop batteries; 2005-2019 I installed new 1st gen Eneloops in my twelve Hunter Douglas brand window blinds in January of 2011. Each blind battery carrier uses 12 cells. All 144 cells are still their job perfectly. I've not had one cell failure. They get charged about...

Help Me Select A Jump Start Pack

I was very disappointed to find that the Anti Gravity battery literature significantly over-quotes their battery AmpHour size. They DO work, however. But the very thing that kills a Lipo is to store it fully charged - and that's what you want for an emergency starter. That's the beauty of...

Help Me Select A Jump Start Pack

I'll plug my shop made auto and diesel truck emergency starter. From a different thread on the topic: "The quality hand held boosters will start good size v-6 engines with the battery entirely removed from the car. Anti-Gravity units will. Especially the Heavy Duty unit. The purpose is not...
