    is there a reason you are sticking to Canon lenses only? Surely, in that range, there are options from Sigma/Tamron that might meet (or beat) whatever requirements you have. if you need range, the 55-200 is the way to go, instead of having overlapping range. find a local store, or chain like...

    mags, sounds like the paper that is not suitable, not the ink. but you could try Aurora's inks, italian, about 7 dollars a bottle, black and blue only. the blue is absolutely gorgeous--what I use.

    i keep hearing rumours that the SR60 is the only one really suitable for use 'as is', and that the rest of the grado's really shine when hooked to an amp.. even though the entire RS line has the same impedance (at least up through the SR225 for sure).     fc, sorry for not being clear; since you have a collection of SMs, i said i like the AC version best of all the SM variations. i'm guessing the bracelet is the auto, the strap is the quartz version of the "bond" SM?

    thanks for the replies, smooth it is. the knives i get professionally sharpened once a year, so the steel is for tough-ups in the house every week or so.
