    E2L-AA incan?

Sure. As long as it's one of the normal E lamps and not an IMR, which would probably be too much for the regular Li-Ions to handle.

The oval hotspot is normal. Anything else in the beam like rings or dark spots is not normal.

R.O.P. Roar of the Pelican mini-FAQ II

I run my 2C ROP off two AW brand 3.7v Li-Ions just fine. You need to buy an extender for the Mag body, though.

Getting my feet wet with incans

Yes, but 9v is the nominal rating. Most 9v lamps are designed to be happy with a 9v cell configuration under load, which depending on the intended cell chemistry can be significantly less than 9v. Li-Ion cells hold their voltage very well, so they will usually drive or overdrive a lamp just...

    SF A2 driver removal - DONE!! w/pics

What got my attention was he specifically mentioned the newer drivers were more efficient. Depending on the tests I suppose he could take more efficient LEDs to mean a more efficient driver, but I'm curious to know more because I'm deciding between buying an older flat-bodied A2 and a newer...

Shouldn't Lumens Factory Have a Turbo Head?

This is a good idea. If LF can already crank out the relatively complex LED turbohead, then they should really look into making plain turboheads. They already have the information from when they tested their turbo lamps, how difficult could it be? Would Surefire have some patent on the exact...

semi-drunken destructive M6 test.... [yes there are pictures added now]

SureFire boasted in an advertisement that their anodization was so hard it could cut through the body of other flashlights. Someone here tried it with interesting results.

    Mod options for Mag 2C?

I guess that's why I post here first. I can still use a 5761 with my two Li-Ion C cells, so I might as well.

    SureFire vs. UltraFire

Aw hell yes. My first was an E30 325is. Nothing can compare to that car, enjoy yours while you can!

    SureFire vs. UltraFire

Surefire built a fan base around build quality and reliability as well as brightness. If you're hoping that a 9P will be 5 times brighter because it's 5 timres the price, you're going to be very disappointed. It will be bright, but most of that money is going to go into other departments. Now...
