Review: Olight H2R NW and CW

The fact is you can't short it out via the contacts because I submersed it in water and nothing bad happens, you can put a wire right across it and again nothing happens. A paper clip on the top terminals directly on the battery a slight spark then nothing, no protection circuit bad things would...

The New Olight H1R Nova headlamp

With most chargers the custom batteries work fine, you just have to watch you don't use one with raised contact points that might meet both contacts (not found one yet that does). The flat custom ones are a no no ie the 26650 for chargers, even they are protected so it won't blow up just kicks...

Review: Olight H2R NW and CW

The specs might say the moonlight is 1 lumen, but it's lower real world probably half a lumen. I like a low mode but I'm not a fan of ultra low 0.1/0.2 lumen modes

    *new* Olight H2R Pro headlamp

Re: Where are they going? That's not the appeal for many the 18650 longer run time and design (ie dual use) stick out. The turbo is fun and might find some use..not the only area to look at There are areas I'd change no question, but I think they did a good job on this one overall

Olight H2R A quick unboxing and preview

As mini lenses spread the light out it's quite evenly distributed. It could be useful for a few reasons, but you get a nice boost to range albeit for a limited time. The design of the head strap has been thought about you can see that, a point that could have been overlooked, and important. The...

Olight H2R A quick unboxing and preview

Hope it covers most of the important areas, took a while to do (basically disappeared for a few days and some late nights), but wanted something that is useful a 5 minute desk job wouldn't cut it on this one ;-) Girlfriend wasn't overly happy, but a sacrifice that had to be made

    *new* Olight H2R Pro headlamp

Re: Where are they going? Well it's a quick look/unboxing not what I call a review but might be of some use. Working on the review right now takes a bit of time to get the tests done/beam shots etc

    *new* Olight H2R Pro headlamp

Re: Where are they going? I would if I had the light but I don't. I've not heard when it's out on release but will let you know if I get sent a sample. Of course this is something I would test. Unlikely you'd get the full power with a normal cell based on other torches I've used. IMR can handle...

    *new* Olight H2R Pro headlamp

Re: Where are they going? A review is a review or should be and mention good/bad areas. It's true there are a lot of unboxing channels or people who just smile on camera or desk video it and say wow great without testing things properly. That's why I usually have a +/- list at the end of every...

    *new* Olight H2R Pro headlamp

Re: Where are they going? I'd wager it's an IMR cell if it's pulling 2000+ lumens, hence like the Klarus XT11GT more drain bit less capacity. Probably be able to use normal cells just wont hit the highest output I don't mind big power, but the appeal would likely be long run times are low to...

Olight H1R NOVA - Review and test

Quite a nice update to the H1 Nova particularly the charging dock aspect and a power boost for the turbo mode Would love to see a swivel head version as it is for a premium headlamp it's a nice upgrade over the lower power plastic ones

    Value of Interchangeability - AAA

The HO5S is quite good nice wide beam the only downside is the red LED's are only bright enough for up close (arm distance) work. Other than that it's a solid unit at the right price
