    The Official Zebralight Thread .

I don't think so. I was thinking of limitations of today's cells and manufacturers claiming 4000Lm, which our cells can only do for a few seconds, but 1000Lm is perfectly reasonable. If Zebralights had big finned copper heads, it could probably hold 1000Lm with passive self-cooling.

Hope not, because it's a few seconds of 1300Lm at best. But don't blame the Zebralight. It's our cells.

Check out the runtime charts of SC64w Hi here and compare to same for SC64c LE here. Unless you're actively cooling the light while in use, the only difference is slightly brighter but similarly rapidly dimming light for literally a few minutes before holding regulation just under 400Lm...

    Surefire 6P questions

sorry for my dyscalculia, kept typing B26 instead of B65 LOL. Marauders on the brain I guess.

    Surefire 6P questions

B65 is 4.8V for 600mAh or 40 minutes of light. You can do better today with four 2/3A NiMH for the same voltage with 1600mAh capacity or an hour and 45 minutes of the same light. B26 is 120.4mm long, and 2/3A cells (like this, or these) are 28.5mm, or 114mm with four in series, so you'd use...

    Sofirn HS10 LED swap to 219b 3000K

I thought sw45k was your favorite emitter. Is 519a 4500K so different? 3000K is nice because it's like incan, and easier on tired eyes in the pitch black than 4000K+, but I'll bet you coffee that you'd prefer a 2700K-3200K incan lamp to LED (because the color temperature profile of LED is so...

For some reason 7xx is not a replacement for 5xx, 2xx, and it is 7.09W, so 7.67V but @1.05A. IOW, I don't see how 719 can be driven with a boost driver doubling voltage on Liion.

My understanding is Nichia's x19 LEDs, 219, 319, 519, etc., are for lower voltages, the first number designates size. You can't have a 7V 1000Lm 219b. It will fry on the boost circuit of Liion, though can be direct drive on Liion.

Can you confirm that dedoming an LED can lower color temperature as much as 1000K ?

"w" presumably stood for "white," and "c" for color, indicating High CRI. Any guesses on why "N," and capitalized? FWIW, noon is never capitalized (unless it is a proper noun, such as someone or something named "Noon,") nor is sunlight 4000K at noon but closer to 5500K. "Neutral?" But Zebralight...

FWIW, Orbtronic 16650 are made in Japan because they are rewrapped and protected Sanyo UR16650ZTA limited to 4.20V, exactly like Keeppower 16650.

Not entirely certain, but I believe KTFlights bores with a lathe. YMMV.
