Rulag 2 Volt sealed lead acid batteries - model RL-4

It looks really nice. Have a look at small LiPo for drones and helicopters maybe, they do some tiny batteries...you'll need to replace the bulb probably. Or....buy a 9V battery like Energizer or Varta, dismantle it and use the flat batteries inside. Varta brand should use 7 flat batteries...

Rulag 2 Volt sealed lead acid batteries - model RL-4

SLA seem a no-go today, or at least I wasn't successful finding a suitable battery. What about a small LiPo modelism pack, or a phone battery? You also have some prismatic NiMh batteries, but they seem difficult to find these days. What exactly is the battery supposed to power, and what is...

I think my VC4 is special...

Next time use a faster setting for charging these batteries, it looks like the end of charge was not detected correctly...maybe because of old/aging batteries? Or batteries that were not used for some time. Edit : depending on the charge rate a coefficient of 1,4-1,5 can be considered normal ...

Rulag 2 Volt sealed lead acid batteries - model RL-4

I didn't know this brand. I understand it is powered by a small 2V SLA battery, what size is this battery? Do you have a picture maybe?

It was a very reputable vendor, who reacted quickly and like it should have :)

Help me spot fake Panasonic CR123A...or not

End of the story, I just had the confirmation from Panasonic, they are fake. I guess that was to be expected :)

Help me spot fake Panasonic CR123A...or not

I got further information today. The previous owner of the store bought them to his usual Chinese supplier. Actual owner made them disappear from his store. 99% fake ? :D

There's no ring on the Nitecore primary, but these are "high quality" made in China, and I somewhat trust them. Nextorch and WF didn't have the ring, made in China too. I don't think Trustfire primary have that sort of ring either. All my "authentic" Panasonic (various forms, made in...

    The CR 2025

Voltage sag of these batteries seem quite important compared to say CR123a.

    The CR 2025

My car key has 2 CR2025 cells, it was not working properly anymore with ~3,02V cells (I think this is the resting voltage). New Panasonic cells I put were around 3,25V. I'd say 2,8V rested is pretty much dead.

Wow, that was fast, I got an answer (did I say "top notch" ?) from the store. The owner is surprised but he said he don't have enough elements to answer me, since he bought the battery stock to the previous owner. He told me we he will get in touch with this previous owner, to see if he can...

Help me spot fake Panasonic CR123A...or not

Ok Guys, please tell me I'm wrong, but I did a discharge test, and these batteries are screaming "FAKE" !!! 888mAh under 0,5A load, discharge stopped at 1,6V (practical end working voltage of some CR123A lights I have). Internal resistance is measured between 224 and 265 mOhms. Ambiant...

You're lucky ;) I have some "WF" from around 2002-2003, around 3,02V. None have leaked, but I think I'm going to recycle them...

    New batteries?

When I received my Wtar 18700 2600mAh, there was no scratch like this. But I don't think the store I bought them (well-known "Chinese" online store starting by F) took the time to test them before shipping.

Thank you for the intel. I think I am going to do some discharge test with my suspicious cells. I was a bit reluctant but I've tried one in a light, and I am under the impression its voltage declined fast compared to a Battery station one. Just to satisfy my curiosity, can you post a picture...

It was a joke, I didn't meant to "threaten" him, but to threaten him theorically with potentially explosive batteries brought into his store! But all that was a joke, especially since we are talking about ~35€ value/paid here ;) The new owner is a nice guy, and I'd like to keep him as a valued...
