    Maglite ML50LX or ML300LX ... 2 or 3 Cell

I just checked, KeepPower and Fenix protected 3500's fit in the Maglite adapter, they are just a smidge shorter than the Maglite 18650. An old Eagletac 3100, same thing. Edit: AX64328 is the Maglite product number that I purchased, they call it the Mag Charger Powerbank.

    Maglite ML50LX or ML300LX ... 2 or 3 Cell

I also run an ML50L with 21700 and 18650's. Maglite offers a kit with an 18650 and adapter specifically for the ML50L(X) 2 cell lights, so I'm guessing that they are okay with the extra voltage.

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

On the way are: a few Maglites, a KDLitker E6vn 21700 P60 host from Vinh, a Lumens Factory triple drop-in, and a couple of ventilators for my other light related hobby.

My (limited) return to flashlight reviewing

Maybe having a well respected reviewer point that out will cause the manufacturers to take that into consideration in the future? Glad to see you back!

    Recommendations for 18650 cells?

You're probably going to get a similar list, maybe with a few additions from pretty much anyone that answers. I run a protected battery in any light that has the room for it. My edc light currently has an Eagletac 3100 in it from 3/2012, I'm sure there has been some capacity loss, but not that...

Will I turn into a Maglite fan once again?

Red is my favorite Maglite color👍 I wish they would make an ML50LX in red.

Tom, Those Maglites arrived yesterday evening, I will drop them in the mail to you Monday morning. If you decide that they will meet your needs, let me know, and I can send some more.

    Headlamp anti night bugs

Been doing that for years with Coleman lanterns, light one a little ways away with a clear globe first, then light one up with an amber colored globe next to you. You might need to experiment with how far apart they are from each other. And don't go anywhere near the clear one unless you want...

    6P deep pocket clip....new option

Looking at my 6P next to my MD2, that might stick up a bit on a 6P. Looks like I'd need some kind of spacer to use it on my 6P, maybe some o-rings.

If your thinking of a power tool light, I'd steer clear of the Milwaukee M12 stuff. The clips on the batteries don't hold up well to abuse. If you drop it and it lands on the battery on a hard surface, you can pretty much guarantee that one or both of those clips, or the housing will break...

I might have to try one of those out.

You guys do realize that we're discussing a summer church camp for kids here, right? It's not some prison chain gang work camp for unruly youts.

Seeing your location has me thinking we may be seeing some cultural differences here? In America, we tend to be a bit too independently spirited to be chained together with cowbells around our necks. As a kid, I would have just quietly walked away when they weren't looking and hitchhiked the...

Maglite offers an 18650 adapter kit for the ML50L 2 cell light, there are also 3D printed adapters available for 18650 and 21700 cells for two and three cell lights. If you want to go with lithium cells, I'd stick with a single protected cell. Two backup 21700 cells in some kind of case...

Trust me, if they're going to scrutinize a purchase of flashlights, the idea of a thermal imaging drone with A.I. ain't gonna fly.

Expensive purchases, especially the kind that just sit, potentially for years at a time, like a thermal imager in this case, have a tendency to turn off benefactors/donors. I'd leave the fancy thermal imagers and computer algorithms to the people who have deeper pockets. I would bet that the...
