    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

Thanks everyone who replied. I ended up getting the Surefire 123A Rechargeable. The main reason is that there is a local store in Calgary that happened to carry the Surefire rechargeable and they offer free local drop off, resulting me saving $10 for 2 cells.

    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

Yeah, my old LiFePO4 didn't have that feature and I accidently over used it and killing it. Anyone know if the SureFire LiFePO4 have low circuit protection? I prefer it to gradually go down, but that's not a big feature as I normally carry a backup/loaner AAA light and I also have a cellphone...

    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

Thanks for all your replies, I was hoping there are some that have low power cut-off circuitry so I don't have to worry about killing the battery while using the light. I'm open to Keeppower if it does have that feature. As for the light, I'll be using it on ProTac 1L-1AA, my older lights are...

    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

I measure the voltage my LiFePO4, they are 3.2v. Which mean it's the same as the SureFire ones. Does anyone know of a SureFire dealer in Canada that carry a wide range of SureFire items?

    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

Thanks for the link, but I'm not sure if I trust their description. My LiFePO4 is rated at 500mAh, SureFire rated their CR123A Rechargeable at 450mAh. That Keeppower is rated at 860mAh, that's almost double the SureFire one and that's not considering that they need additional space to put in the...

    Looking for 3.0v CR123 Rechargeable

Hello, I have an UltraFire WF-138 charger which can recharge 3.6v 16340 battery and I've being using it for a while. The charger also has a switch that can recharge 3.0v and have being using that mode to recharge 3.0v LiFePO4 (I got those 10+ years ago now). My LiFePO4 pretty much die and I'm...

AA or AAA in your BOB?

That's a great idea. I've put my Princeton Tec EOS (2004) in one car and Petzl Tikka XP (2005) in the other car. We all get flat tire at one time or the other and having a headlamp should help if it happens at night. Now my BOB is AAA free :)

AA or AAA in your BOB?

I originally wanted only AA because it's easier to carry 1 type of battery rather than carrying 2 different type. I decided on AA due to most devices uses AA, like AA to USB charger, AA 2-way radio, AA flashlight, etc. Then I upgraded my headlamp from Princeton Tec EOS (2004) to EOS (2011) so I...

Thanks for the info, I already have two Eton FR160 radio and I'm thinking of getting a Kaito KA600 radio with a pocket reel antenna. Sub_Umbra, why don't you want to broadcast your position? I purposely have 2 separate cellphones with 2 different provider so in case of emergency, I can have...

    Recent Blackout - Info Needed

I didn't think of that, foreign radio station probably won't have local news. I am thinking of having a wide range of radio for news and entertainment when all is down (no TV, no computer, no internet, etc). Do you know if a pocket reel antenna would work with any radio with an antenna or do I...

    Recent Blackout - Info Needed

I'm not exactly going with the AA route, I just happen to have picked up 50 AA for $5. They are no name brand but I'm just using them for emergency purpose. My dozen of Eneloop is actually AA and AAA combined as I got 2 starter kit including over-night charger for $10. Then my StayCharged...

Any update to the Kroll switch?

Kroll switch had being around maybe 12 years or so. Around 8 years ago, Streamlight implemented a metal Kroll into their light. Has anyone heard of a newer version of Kroll? I believe the old Kroll was rated at 1 amp @ 3 volt. Has anyone heard of a newer Kroll that can handle more power?

AA Cone Diffuser Double as Battery Holder?

I think that I might go with the Fenix LD12. It's not great but I do like the run time of more than 2 hours at 115 Lumen. Zebralight SC51 will actually do 200 lumens but runtime is a little under 1 hour. I've written to NiteCore indicating that I wish they'll bring back "Multi-functions...

AA Cone Diffuser Double as Battery Holder?

Actually, I was going to just buy a flashlight with that add-on. At this point, I haven't picked up anything yet but from my knowledge, I need something at least 200 lumen as most camping lantern are 200 to 300 lumen. Last year, I was debating about buying that diffuser but settle for the Zebra...
