Standardized bicycle light mounts - is the Garmin 1/4 the future?

Re: MonkeyLink That's pretty cool. Haven't heard of that before, but I've seen some of the magnetic bicycle bottles from some companies before. It would be great if things were more standardized, but unless there is an incentive I imagine each company will use their own technology.

Standardized bicycle light mounts - is the Garmin 1/4 the future?

As a bicycle light hoarder, one of my biggest annoyances has been with propriety mounts that each company creates for their lights. I recently have been riding with Magicshine Allty 1000 and 2000 lights, and was very excited to see the Garmin 1/4 turn mounts integrated into the light itself...

Topeak Headlux 450 USB Review - Tiny but powerful

Thanks. You can easily mount it on the helmet with the provided longer strap or shorter strap, but as you mentioned there is no vertical adjustability. Also, it seems like road cycling helmets have very aggressive vents these days which makes it harder to mount as is. With my Coros urban...

Thought I would share a review I did for the new Topeak Headlux 450. I haven't seen much in the way of reviews on the Topeak line of lights, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I received the light. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Here is an abbreviated review. A full video is on...

Late reply, but have you considered the Magicshine MJ-906. It's $150 and 3200 lumens. I've been using it for over a year now, and it's pretty bright with the 5 Cree LEDs. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have an LCD screen with runtime display, just the ambiguous colors...

High powered MR16 LED bulbs for bike light

Are you riding an E-Bike? A 12V lead acid battery seems like a very heavy way to go unless you have some pedal assist. You may want to consider Dynamo lights, if you want something that permanent.
