#1 CAUSE OF BLACKOUTS
24 years ago we bought a house in a PUD, Planned unit development. It was built with underground cables. During Sandy we lost power for 3 1/2 days. While the development was all underground utilities, It was fed by way of an above ground source. -
Need portable high output spot light.
Those Acebeam lights will definitely REACH OUT and touch somebody. I guess it depends upon if you need that distance, otherwise it may be too narrow a beam to be particularly useful at shorter distances. I really don't know.- Poppy

What lights do you already have so that we know what is insufficient. How far do you want to reach? I like double or triple LED lights for lighting larger areas. Here are three, left to right. Sunwayman D40C, Thrunite TN30, Defiant 3C 1200 lumen $10 at the home depot.- Poppy

We're on a slab, with pretty porous ground. But I did need to clear the drain spout of Maple tree seeds; the gutter couldn't drain fast enough and the water was spilling over onto my patio. If the water got another inch deeper, some could have gotten in the sliding door. So, no sump pumps, but... -
What was your prep for today?
One of my "being prepared" preps worked out for me today. I am currently drinking a cup of coffee made with 2 bottles of water. I have five cases on standby. Yesterday, the township started flushing the fire hydrants, leaving the water lines with some brownish silt. According to my daughter...- Poppy

Do you keep your batteries in your multiple cell Li-Ion lights?
I only have a couple of lights in this category. I have a TN11S that came with a tube extension that would allow more than one battery. I never used the extension, and I store a single 18650 in it.
