    RARE MAGLITES

Here's one from my buddy LL J Cool J, the boy with biceps as big as man my thigh. NIP camo minimag circa unknown but think 1986 He must've needed the batteries for his Walkman cassette player..... No date on the package to go by. Coated after the bezel was stamped 😱 I arrive from work...

Thoughts on how best to liquidate my flashlight and accessories....

I wonder if @rick1959 found a local consignment shop. Often times at the outskirts of town are antique shops and local ma and pa nick nack shops. Often they'll sell on consignment. Various parts of North Carolina have large flea markets at what used to be big stores that went out of business.

    RARE MAGLITES

I have a neck beard but bought most of my rare maglites back when big ears and the orange man were president. I rarely paid more than $25 unless it was from Don Keller's personal collection. But those were from Don Keller's personal collection. Heck, I bought a Marquis one time for $14. Cost...

    RARE MAGLITES

You should go down the vintage Streamlight path AZ if you ever start a vintage collection. Before the big lawsuit over stamped bezels on the Caliber they had some nifty flashlights long since out of production. Good prices when they show up too, since Streamlight products aren't as highly...

    RARE MAGLITES

I chuckled at post #1777 when borrower said "plus a little shipping". There was a time when shipping was more than some of the lights I bought a few years back since the light itself was priced so low.

    RARE MAGLITES

The switch area of ML models is shorter than the incan counterparts. An incan 2C is nearly the length of a 3 cell ML50. LED minimags are longer. Bigger head are to achieve the incan minimag type throw. Solitaire's are practically the same length.

    RARE MAGLITES

My buddy over at Monster Joe's truck & towing sent me this nip 1985 promo light recently. The early logo Laser etched TM These old minimags were indeed a work of art that works. Operation is so smooth compared to modern twisty lights. The manufacturing was so precise and detailed you can...

    Oveready Releasing Vintage Flashlights

I think I paid $45 for a Z59 from SureFire a few years back. So $50 in my view won't bad (it's gone now).

    Why do you collect flashlights?

Over the years I had tried to fill in blanks too. Some said "write a book". I said "I did, it's on CPF". I used your thread as a go by at times. Yours is a detailed list of available kinds. https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/the-abtomat-police-flashlight-collection.272627/ Mine was an...

Who's favorite flashlight is the SureFire Aviator?

Same here. Heck I even like that white LED version, purple edges and all. My favorite Aviator is not an Aviator anymore, but has a Scout tailcap and incan e-head with a Tana singLED. I call it the aviatEr

    What's Your Collection's Net Worth?

Polite? America hasn't been a polite society for a while now. Still there's some polite people, yes. But the society as a whole started losing the polite after world war 2. I do agree with the post as a whole though. Some traditions remain despite all of the hoopla and angst. I did get a...

    What's Your Collection's Net Worth?

In my nearly 40 year line of work those who make the best deals make the most money. Money is rarely discussed amongst the ranks. We all earn at least X yet some make better deals. Skill set makes a difference so the cream rises to the top. It's actually a very satisfying way of making a living...

    What's Your Collection's Net Worth?

To me the question "how much do you make?" is like "what's your religion?" or "what's your political affiliation? The answer could steer someone's viewpoint. If I say "last year I made $3.5 million" some may get one impression and if I said "last year I made $35,000" they may get a different...
