Setting up flood coolant on my lathe

I am very tempted. But I am getting ready to move soon and I am trying not to bring home MORE crap.

    Epoxy Question

Its easy to buy neutral cure silicone at the big box home stores. *edit* Here is an example. This one I THINK is neutral cure. Of course, you can't build these up the way you would with a liquid 2 part epoxy or 2 part RTV or molding rubber or even a 1 part UV cure, but I don't really know your...

    Epoxy Question

Why don't you try RTV silicone, no mixing no fuss. Is it too thick for your needs?

    new mill stand

Yep, cool. I am planning to modify my current stand so I can have both wheels and isolation pads too. It's just a stamped steel model made for the Jet mill drill. You may want to put a cap on those box legs with the pads. Looks like a chip trap.

what soldering iron do u use

Oh yah. But it's obviously not the same thing, the one you posted says circuit specialist and the one I posted is branded Tenma. Gotta be better, right? :) If you pop on that one give us a review, I like the looks of it. Would like to see inside.

what soldering iron do u use

I dunno if it is common knowledge or not, but Hakko discontinued the 936 for a new model, the FX-888. Looks like a neat little unit. There is a thread floating around somewhere about the various Hakko clones that are out there including the circuit specialist model, Komec, and others about the...

OT: Help needed fixing damaged threads

You could also look into something like this, in the appropriate size (I don't know if this one is) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VXIXUK/?tag=cpf0b6-20 or this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K1GAH6/?tag=cpf0b6-20

OT: Help needed fixing damaged threads

Tim, I am sure you will get a better recomendation, but in the mean time I suggest a triangular file and be very careful. I would imagine you could just file away that one thread and be fine. Whats a nail drill?

    clausing 12x36 5C value?

So, despite the fact that the JNEV-202-H1 is a sensorless vector drive I notice you relagated it to basic 60 hz function in this post: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?311047-Got-my-Bridgeport&p=3595372&viewfull=1#post3595372 Assuming I probably won't be buying a Phase Perfect...

    How to disassemble a lathe??

Your right, imageshack is well known. Hmm, I am not sure what happened, but I didn't like it :) I am glad you managed to remove that stubborn bolt. I can't wait to see what projects come from your way next!

    How to disassemble a lathe??

Well, first of all congratulation on your lathe. I don't think much of your picture hosting website however. I suggest no one click on that image, it tried to load trojan/virus or something. It appeared to be one of the many variants of antivirus 2009 and antivirus 2010...

    clausing 12x36 5C value?

How strange that I checked this today. Well, not a lot to say. I did pick up a nice buck chuck. Still no tool post and most importantly no phase converter. Amazing to me that it's been about 21 months that I have had that 1500 lb chunk of metal taking up what little space I have in the garage. I...
