Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

The 3 cell lights are my favorite, be it surefire, malkoff or elzetta. The elzetta is super nice.

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

The rest of the parts came in today, so now I’ve got a zfl head charlie with an m91bw and hi/lo tailcap. This is a really nice host, and looks great. The hi/lo tailcap gives it versatility points over my favored surefire c3 as a host. Just messing around with it seems like the hi/lo cap will...

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

Well I’ll soon have my first elzetta, compromised of parts. I got a crenelated zfl-m60 head from a forum member, and a charlie body with hi/low tailcap from elzetta. The plan is also to eventually get a high candela head for the charlie and an alpha.

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

The only good 17500’s currently available that I know of are the keeppower 1200 mah, which are great cells but unfortunately are protected. When used in a 3x cr123 light they will shut off with no warning which is not a good thing. There are now unprotected 1250 mah 14500’s available from...

    SureFire EDC1-DFT and EDC2-DFT

The head on that is HUGE. It’s almost comical in a way how the executive series started with a small compact head in the incan versions, and as tech progressed the heads keep getting bigger and bigger. Really a neat light, but it’s unfortunate the low mode is a tailcap operation instead of...

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

I’ve got another question for you elzetta folks. When you’re using a thyrm switchback in a handgun grip with a clicky tailcap (either the hi/low or regular clicky), is it easy to accidentally click the tailcap on? The hi/low would make the light more versatile, but if it made the switchback...

Thanks so much for the comparison, very helpful.

    That’s perfect, thank you.

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

Sure, if you don’t mind. Thank you. How is the HC head on the charlie body compared to the m91t? Also for anyone who has the old ZFL-m60 heads, will those fit on any charlie/bravo body including current ones? I’d like to acquire a zfl-m60 charlie, but if those heads will fit on any charlie body...

Elzetta- The industry's best kept secret.

This is one of the reasons why I like the 3x cr123 size lights best. Great performance with intended batteries and very useable in an emergency measure with the ubiquitous aa’s. For those of you who have malkoff m91b’s and elzetta charlie’s with AVS head, how do the two compare on output and...

Where are all the 1AA flashlights these days?

You’re right. I read the title as aaa instead of aa. With that being said the zebra sc53c N with 4000k 519a is probably the best aa light on the market.

Where are all the 1AA flashlights these days?

The prometheus beta QRV2 and maratac brass nichia are both great options.

Impulse buy one the new sc53c with 4000k 519a. Glad I did. This is a tiny light and the 519a looks really great. So far there is no redundancy in my zebralight stable.

    P60 sized led drop-ins (part 3)

Hah, I’m a bit more organized than that. That’s in a garage that is being converted to an apartment and we’re doing the plumbing.

    P60 sized led drop-ins (part 3)

I bought the single mode version, so it’s just on and off. I prefer the simplicity. This is my first experience with the 3500k 519a. It looks fantastic, just like a 219b sw35 but slightly more rosy.

    P60 sized led drop-ins (part 3)

Yesterday the KDLITKER drop in came in, 3500k 519a with smooth reflector. Good brightness with 1x li-ion, 2x li-ions and 2x or 3x cr123’s so it should run all those just fine. They claim it’s also regulated. Definitely not 800 lumens as listed but a good 500-600ish with a nice hotspot. After...

    P60 sized led drop-ins (part 3)

Good to hear it works on a 6p and 9p. Does it leave much gap between the head and body when tightened down?

How’s it holding up so far? I ordered one with a 3500k 519a.

Relative "durability and quality" of these 3 brands: Sofirn, Zebra, and Convoy?

If you want the best chinese light available go with zebralight. They are top notch. Durable, reliable, great regulation, great runtimes, lightweight & compact for their given battery type, and have a very tough type III hard anodized finish. Once you get used to the way modes work you’ll find...
